About this ebook
Steven L. Kaczeus
STEVEN KACZEUS was born and grown up as a young boy in Budapest, Hungary during the World War II. Life during these times was very diffi cult without adequate food, health support, transportation and with incredible discrimination of the Jews by the Nazi terrorists. When the situation became very dangerous by the carpet bombing of Budapest his family moved to a small village. After the war with the Russian soldiers and the communist regime the situation was not much better. Kaczeus continued with his studies at a Gimnazium and later he joined the famous Technical University in Budapest. Here a secret movement has been boiling against the communist government and the occupying Russian military. Finally, in 1956 a revolution broke out which was ultimately defeated by the mighty Russian army. By leaving Hungary, Kaczeus started a new life in the USA. After the initial diffi culties with the language and the new engineering systems he worked at various companies. Later he moved to the Silicon Valley working for large companies developing digital computer systems and sub-systems. He contributed to these companies and the society with 17 patents and many technical articles. He hopes that his book will encourage young people to take advantage of the great opportunities this country can off er.
