Daintree Rainforest in Far North Queensland. It sees them travelling
from place to place encountering other dust particles, catching up on
news from Belladonna Betty who lives at the front of the drawer in the
bedroom, to escaping Standover Sandy, the big mean sand particle
and his gang on Cow Bay beach. It takes them through creeks , to saw
mills, sometimes travelling with others and sometimes just the two of

W E Mackay was born in Adelaide, South Australia and has lived in many parts of Australia including Kalgoorlie, Perth, Darwin, Mt Gambier and Melbourne where she currently lives with her husband. This is her first Children’s Adventure Story and credits her parents, whom have lived in the Daintree for the past 27 years, for the inspiration to write this book. She has two sons and is currently writing more Adventures of Dusty and Denise for her future grandchildren.

That Mr Python can be very loud at night when he slithers through the rainforest,
said Denise.
Yes, even way up here on the verandah, we can still hear him rustling all those leaves. I wonder what he was looking for last night. I think Mouse is rather fed up with Mr Python. Mouse is always running from him. Why doesn’t he chase someone else?
