About this ebook
Also, how we should live by these values, and the importance of having gratitude.
David Gutierrez
I have lived in several countries, and I have been exposed to the difficulties that children can face. The most important point that I am trying to make is that that we have to make children spiritually and emotionally strong in order to deal with adversities in life, and only like this we will have healthy human beings.

Image357.JPGOnce upon a time there was a very strong man that was the guardian of a beautiful lush forest. For many years, he took care of all the animals and plants that lived there. However, it was not just any forest, it was the Harmony Forest!
Image366.JPGIn this forest, all the animals worked, helped, and got along well with one another. One day, the guardian of the forest felt sick because the winds had been cold, and he was not wearing his jacket during his daily walks. Besides, he was getting a bit older, and cold winds were not good for him.
When he arrived home, he went to bed to rest for a little while, but he did not realize he had a very high fever and slept for a long time.
His two best friends, Dumas and Charlie arrived as usual.
Image374.JPGCharlie and Dumas climbed up to the window expecting to see the guardian preparing his daily cup of coffee, before starting the day’s work.
However, Charlie noticed that there was no one in the kitchen, and Dumas did not smell the aroma of coffee in the air.
Charlie said: How strange, that our guardian friend is not here.
Dumas said: How strange, at this time he is always making coffee.
Charlie said: This is very strange, we should look for him.
They looked for him around the house, but couldn’t find him. They went to his room and jumped in fear because they saw that he was still sleeping.
Our friend has fallen sick.
Charlie said.
They moved closer to him, and Charlie placed his paw on his cheek to feel for fever, and he realized the guardian was very sick.
Charlie said: We must get Doctor Help immediately. Our friend has a very high temperature. But first, we must wrap him well and make him comfortable.
The squirrels fluffed the pillow and spread the blanket over the guardian, making him more comfortable. Then Charlie said:
Dumas you run faster than I do. Please, run to get Doctor Help, and I will stay here and keep an eye on the guardian.
Dumas ran very fast through the forest going up and down hills, till reaching Doctor Help’s house. Dumas almost fainted because he ran so fast. He reached Doctor Help’s home and rang the bell. The doctor opened the door, and saw that Dumas was very excited, and having difficulty breathing.
Doctor Help took him by the arm and told him:

Doctor Help, the guardian has fallen sick,
said Dumas.
What are you talking about?
