Living with Jesus

About this ebook
Dying on the cross for forgiveness of our sins. How crowds loved Him one minute and condemned Him the next. How Jesus suffered when they placed the crown of thorns on His head and tore His flesh when He was whipped. The carrying of the heavy cross and the spikes nailed into His hands and feet onto the cross.
Jesus would like us to follow in his footsteps not by dying on a cross but to listen to our angel and not the devil. He gave us the right to choose right or wrong and it will be ours punishment if we choose to listen to the devil. We will not spend eternity in heaven with God but burn in the fires of hell with the devil if we choose to be bad listening to the devil.

I dedicate this book to all the little children who follow in Jesus’s footsteps. One is never too young to learn of His miracles. A great teacher and miracle worker who loves us all. Just believe in Him.

I wish to thank all the parents and religious teachers that have helped to teach youngsters about the Lord. And for the poor souls who never heard of Jesus may God help you to follow in His footsteps.
Being a youngster it is hard for children to understand about Jesus Christ. The Bible has words that are hard to understand and I’m sure many children even adults are confused. So in order to help other children understand the life of Jesus I am trying to break it down into words for all children to understand about the great Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I attended St. Mary of Perpetual Help Catholic School where I learned about Jesus but still have many questions about Him. I have seen statues and pictures of Jesus in church and in books.
Even though I saw movies of Jesus on television and in the theaters it was still hard to believe since I never witnessed His miracles or got to know who Jesus really is. I was told to believe in Him even though I didn’t know Him. If I did something bad I must ask God to forgive me and help me to do better. And after I am of age to make my first Confession and Holy Communion I have to confess my sins to a priest to obtain forgiveness and penance. Jesus gives us the right to choose if we want to listen to our angel or the devil.
From my religious lessons I learned that an angel named Gabriel was sent from God to tell the Virgin Mary she will have a baby and to name him Jesus. The angel told Mary that her relative Elizabeth would also be with child a son. Elizabeth was old and barren but nothing was impossible for God to do.
An angel also appeared to Joseph in a dream to tell him of Mary conceiving a child and Joseph stood by Mary as a loving husband should. They didn’t have any cars in those days so Mary traveled sitting on a donkey while Joseph walked trying to find shelter for them to stay since it was near time for the baby to arrive. Every door at the inns that Joseph rapped on to seek shelter they were refused living quarters until one keeper told them they could stay in the stable.
001_copy.jpgJoseph had no other choice and tried to make it comfortable for Mary while the animals in the stable looked on. He found a small wooden manger and filled it with fresh hay for the newborn baby to lie in. The time came and Mary had given birth to a beautiful little baby boy. She wrapped Him in swaddling clothes and laid Him in the manger.
002_copy.jpgAn angel appeared to shepherds that were near by watching over their flock and told them of Christ the Lord being born lying in a manger wrapped in swaddling clothes. The shepherds hurried to see and honor the new born lying in a manger in Bethlehem. The three kings traveling from the East followed the shining star to Bethlehem to worship the newly born king of the Jews. They fell on their knees an offered Jesus gifts of frankincense, gold and myrrh. You would think they would bring gifts of toys and clothes for a new baby but not for Jesus.
Jesus should have been born in a castle wearing silk and a crown of jewels not in a stable in a manger filled with hay, wrapped in swaddling clothes. He should have received many gifts of toys to play with like rattles He could hold in His tiny hands and a playpen and swing but all He had was a wooden manger.
On the eighth day at the circumcision He was named Jesus given to Him by the angel.
When we are born we celebrate our birthday’s every year on the same day with a birthday cake and candles to blow out but when Jesus was born we celebrate Christmas and sing Christmas Carols instead of Happy Birthday. Why? It doesn’t seem fair that Jesus is being gypped out of a birthday. On Christmas everyone waits for Santa Claus to arrive but only a few recognize that it is Christ’s birthday Children are taught to believe in Santa Claus but not told about Jesus and yet it is because of Jesus that we celebrate Christmas.
His name Christ is even in the word Christmas. The stores use to have their windows filled with angels and the stable with Mary and Joseph and baby Jesus lying in a manger. Shepherds, angels and the three Kings plus the sheep, camels and donkeys too. But now all you see in the windows are toys, stuffed animals, elves, gifts and Santa Clauses of
