About this ebook
Behind the Wax Seal is a novelette about a 16-year-old girl named Sarah. Set in the present day, Sarah finds a letter with a 1942 postmark. On reading it, she finds it was written to her recently deceased grandmother by a friend named Mary. Intrigued by the ink color and wax seal, Sarah embarks on a quest to find out more about Mary, who she was, and how her friendship figured into her grandmothers life. Sarah then learns about Mary, her challenges and illness, and how her faith in God and Scripture not only sustained her but also touched and changed Sarahs life seven decades later.

About the Author
Dedicated to the memory of
Louis DiGiorgi (1918-2012)
E very author has a list of people to thank, and I am no exception. Indeed, the very concept of this book is my belief that we all impact one another in some way. For me, the list is a long one.
First off, my unending thanks to God for giving me this life and the creative gifts I have been blessed with. He put the right people in my life at the right time and coupled it with guiding me through all of life’s experiences. I am forever grateful.
I was blessed with wonderful parents. My mom and dad taught me by example the importance of high ambitions along with the hard work necessary to realize them. By instilling in me the habit of aiming high and reaching to attain my goals, they were the first to help me write and publish this book. Mom and Dad, even though you aren’t here to read this, thank you from the bottom of my heart.
My grandparents were people I loved and admired. I knew from a young age that when I grew up I wanted to be like them. Their influence on my life comes through in this book.
To my brothers, who were so influential to the person I am today. For that, I offer my deepest thanks.
To my incredible daughter, Courtney, thank you. It is a privilege to be your dad. I became a better person the day you were born.
And finally to my dear wife Melissa, thank you for never leaving my side, for always being there no matter what, and for always supporting me in every way possible. I could never put into words the difference you’ve made in my life.
Preface

How did this book come to be? Good question! I have been a pianist and composer all my life, not an author. Every now and then, I would say to myself, Someday I’m going to write a book,
but I never thought I would actually do it. Instead, I used piano and music as my creative outlet, writing and recording solo
