The Dead Peoples’ Planet
()
About this ebook
A US spaceship, manned by a captain and twelve crew members of various backgrounds, nationalities, and gender, sets off on a mission to Mars. Unfortunately, long before it gets there, a sudden, violent, unidentified energy propels it off course to an uncharted location in the vacuum of the cosmos.
This unexpected diversion is accompanied by pain, giddiness, and other physical sufferings for the travelers, testing their courage, perseverance, and endurance more than a little. At last, with severe jolting, the ship stops literally in the middle of nowhere, and it stays there.
Cut off from Earth and locked up within its space vehicle, the crew is surrounded on every side by saving colors of all shades and shapes. Then, quite lost in time and space, the captives witness three levels of being.
One, soon dubbed the Dead Peoples Planet by the voyagers, shows hell itself, a place for punishing sinners and tyrants. Then comes heaven, reserved for good people, who are sustained by spiritual joy. Lastly, the astronauts see a world of prebirth, which is another scenario altogether.
In just over ninety pages, the author shows familiarity with diverse worlds, some of which have been heard of but not experienced and some of which turn out unpredictably eventful and extremely exciting. At the same time, the spotlight falls on good, bad, reward, punishment, justice, Gods mercy, and fate.
The last crew eventually gets back to Earth after twenty years. But a suspicious court of interrogation inquiries why it thinks it has been away for only one year!
The Deadly Peoples Planet is an unusual book that would make an intriguing film.
Ruhi Darakshani
Ruhi Darakhshani was born in the beautiful mountain city of Hamedan, south west of Tehran – the ancient city of Echatana in record history and capital of the kingdom of the Medes. Traditional the creator of the Median Kingdom was one, Deioces, who according to Herdoutes reigned from 728 to 675 BC and founded the Median capital raised in that city. On finishing her time in elementary school, the family moved into Tehran – the capital – where she continued her education. Still studying at the secondary school, the young Ruhi discovered an urge for creative writing. This has grown with her since that time. She knew for sure that she was blessed with talent. She started with short stories, novels and articles on various topics (love stories, various forms of creative writing or articles related to the social issues of the time). Young and enthusiastic, Ruhi moved to Abadan, a city with an extremely hot climate and famous for its refineries, situated in the south of Iran, There she was employed by the oil company and served in a secretarial capacity in various departments of that company for many years. Along with family and her job responsibilities she was actively involved in a number of social societies and groups – namely membership of the Women Society, Red Cross, Prisoners’ Rights Concern, Creative Writing Group, Parents and Teachers Committee, Family Welfare, Scouts… etc. In this way she rendered valuable services to her country and its people. Meanwhile she acted as a radio presenter for the local radio of the oil company where she served as a writer and speaker for the children’s programmes. As well as her multiple activities she was a presenter on local TV and a part time correspondent for a weekly magazine issued in Tehran. A book containing her stories, named ‘Sarereh’ was published during this time which won her great success. Ruhi lives with her husband and three children, who are now working successfully and support their mother in her social life. The family came to Britain before the Iranian Revolution, some 31 years ago. She is engaged, as usual, in various social activities but she never neglects her writing, which remains her abiding passion. This book, and a few others including ‘Unfulfilled Love and Life’ in Farsi, MAD in English, both published in USA a few years ago, are now available at recognized bookshops in the States and in Europe. They have brought her great fame and success. Also the following books are now ready for printing: Dead People Planet Love inside the Balloons Love, Money and no more The Lost Bride

Chapter One
For Mars Destination
The Scene—NASA (U.S.A)
The gigantic spaceship (S-D-14-U.S.A.
) with its 12 crew members all experts and superbly experienced and highly qualified, in perfect health, courageous, and dedicated, who had undergone months of arduous exercises, difficult tests and trials, medical check-ups—physically and psychologically. At last on the 21st of April 1965 2.00pm from the NASA’s Cape Canaveral
America, were about to launch their historical and exciting Flight—an expedition for some research work about the wondrous planet of MARS throughout the world, from all walks of life; old and young, black and white, yellow and red races had been anxiously watching this momentous historic flight, which was assigned so great a challenging task and ambitious research about a planet so far distant from the earth. Meanwhile enormous hustling and bustling and much excitement prevailed throughout the Cape Canaveral.
Selected journalists and cameramen, celebrated film producers, scientists and astronomers hundreds were there and a great number of men with authority, politicians and representatives from diverse countries worldwide were also present, either on the vast compound or within the Count Down Hall with its computer system. Individuals with high hopes but also with apprehensions were bustling around, giving orders or engaged in doing various tasks. The current President above all with other distinguished politicians and representations from authorities in his retinue were gathered at his office in the White House, which was well equipped with various devices—TVs, computer system, telex and direct lines to the main Flock Hall. Worldwide began to work their telescopes, reporting every moment on the condition of Mars as could make past of its Orbit which the astronauts were to pass through, the variations—minor and major, the temperature and other necessary information as much as could be transmitted.
Astronauts were as follow:
- Captain Samuel Eastwood, a pleasant featured man of middle aged, a man of good nature and geniality with a distinguished commanding presence.
- The doctor—Dr Harrison Rex, young, with less impressive good looks, but full of charming anecdotes, talkative and a recognized experts in his job.
- Two beautiful young nurses—Marion and Dianne, aged between 30-35, well favoured and well disposed, kind and compassionate.
- —Jimmy Stuart—the chef, fat, short and masculine, with dark brown skin, and black fizzy hair.
- —Four young engineers experts in space mathematics, space science, physics and chemistry (Robert, Craig, William and Tony) all vivacious, smart, handsome and with a great sense of humour.
- Three astronomers: An American, Chinese and British, each having different temperament and character, aged between 35-40, British—tall and slim with yellow hair matched in colour with his thin moustaches, and as cool in manner as any Brit, could be.
- Wong, Chinese—short, with oily jet black hair, narrow eyed, eyed, tight lipped, shy and quiet in character and of few words. American—tall, broad shouldered, mart, talkative and self-opinionated to an extent group thus consisting of a dozen explorers, upright character, steadfast and resolute; stepped out from the flock cabin, heads up, under the banner of the stars and stripes, as well as those of the other two countries,. The procession thus began as they walked in harmony with the music of a glorious march. In their flying uniforms and in tune with the National Anthems of the said three countries, they headed towards the gigantic Spaceship.
Yells of joy and excitement from the multitudes reached to the open sky. Tears of pride and excitement were running down their faces. Deep emotion was to be seen on every face and fearful eyes expressed this as they did the throwing of petals and flowers, waving hands and hankies. Families of these dearly courageous heroes and heroines in human history were watching them from a room next to the flock cabin. They were on the TV panel which showed their faces cheering time and again or occasionally unhappy. Reflecting their pride and esteem also their emotions for separation from their families and friends. The TV cameras were on the fast move either focused on the joyful and proud faces of our heroes, or tuned to the people reflecting their enthusiasm and cheers. Sometimes the computer systems and the Count Down Room were on show. And another time focused on the White House featuring the President himself sitting with his VIP guests. Now and then taking a few shots from the ordinary men and women in the street. While many grouped together to watch them on the large screens entire compound and its surroundings, or indeed the entire city, looked like the Day of Resurrection; with so much hub bub and commotion. At last the group of astronauts, staunch and dignified entered the gigantic, well equipped Spaceship of S.D.U.14
and doors were closed behind them, then the engines revved up. And excitement, fear and tension, joy and desperation; all mixed up and scattered in the air along with varieties of songs and music. The countdown was about to proceed at any moment.
To see that the final checking of the devices, the apparatus, and the engines with all the safety measures were in order. The astronauts were not exempted and were examined for their health condition. The President gave the orders then for the Count Down was throbbing. Extreme noises, hustling and bustling, the sound of music, yells, then a sudden reduction to an absolute silence save the horrific roaring’s of the engines of the rocket and the resounding counts of the figures, ever echoed into their exhausted ears:—9—8—7—6—5—4—3—2—1—0—Fire… ! Rocket so forcefully and in the most unnerving staggering roars, with its full velocity and through the flames of explosion was shot into the air, up into the sky and in a matter of seconds only a tiny spotlight remained visible in the vast expanse of space.
The crowd erupted into cries of triumph. Yells and clamour swayed over the place once again. Communication means of the time; cables, telexes and telephones all and all were set at work. Tears were streamed down the cheeks and smiles played on their lips was a magnificent day; a day of glory, a once event in the living memory. And enough of significance to be recorded in human history.
Chapter Two
Success and Expectation
Days passed by swiftly and months shifted away, during which contacts between the spaceship and the earth continued. Information available about Mars, its conditions, including pictures from it was transmitted and calculations regarding this wondrous planet computed. For one occasion to note, the astronauts were arranged for a telephone conversation with their families, making jokes and laughter with them. But a few months later, as it went, communication ceased to continue out of the sudden. Altogether it made impossible for them to contact the Earth!
On the other hand, the codes and signals as being transmitted to the spaceship remained unanswered. Other spaceships whether with astronauts or not, which shuttled within the earth’s atmosphere, including the satellites in the orbit, sought for assistance. Yet the responses were all the same negative and disappointing. As a conclusion the Spaceship S.D.14-USA
had vanished in the space, thus traceless for no reason!
News of the missing ship, however, was kept fully confidential and it remained that way for some time until the next April, when they were scheduled for the return while hadn’t been heard of as yet. For the authorities therefore remained no alternative than to break out the news. Accordingly at NASA’s Headquarter and with the President’s advice, the unfortunate missing of the spaceship and its crew was announced to the public. The families concerned were sent telegrams of sympathy, with praising words of admiration about the courage and bravery of such individuals who so significantly contributed to human history by acts of sacrifice and pioneering work in the path of science and discoveries of the mysteries of the universe.
The news of the missing U.S. Spaceship travelled fast, far and wide and became the object of sadness and sympathy expressed by the peoples around the world. Then and for a lengthy period of time as it went, the vanishing of the Spaceship preoccupied the minds of the people and became the talk in the every occasional gathering or for any other reason which brought a group of individuals together. People were of different views on this issue. Some were of the idea that Russians were involved in order to gain access to classified information
, so they high jacked the ship and its crew
they maintained. Another group believed spontaneously that it were the Brits
. And yet others in contrast responded No way, a mission impossible for their power and capacity to tackle such a huge ship!
And others insisted that the Chinese were in this business. A group also among them related it to the aliens, who might have taken them away with them to their Galaxy. And you wouldn’t be surprised
they said if one of these days we witness their invasion.
Here you are!! Hadn’t had enough of earthly wars, strife, homicides, ruinous bombings, and
