TIME ANGELS
Time Angels live in heaven and come to earth to help with history.
They can go to cities and towns trying to solve all the mysteries
They fly with the greatest of ease and have the magic of the world in their hands. They travel here and there off to different lands.
They walked the earth and look like you and me. They are at work, school and in your homes. They just love to roam.
Next time you think your alone think. Listen! What was the sound? How did that light go on? Do I hear a song?
Angels love to visit and check in on humans. They love to help, play games and make you feel safe.
They laugh at time, snicker at the mean, bring the stars out at night and bring the flowers to life.
Angels? Yes, we are out here for the believers and the non-believers. We are there for your baby’s first cry. We are there when you get old and trying to get by. So remember! We are out here, and we’re watching you!

CHAPTER ONE
The sky was always a soft blue, the grass was always mint green. Horses roamed around here and there. Children could run and play with no fear. Sickness, death, money, crime, hunger all had no meaning in Heaven. People were free to be! You wanted to work to stay busy you could. If you wanted sleep all day you could. Want to do art, cook, swim, sing you could. This was home. This was the home to many angels. But this is the home of one very special angel.
Nina James had been dead for fifty years and she cherished her home in Heaven. She still found that she had a lot to learn about living her new life. The atmosphere was fresh and clean. The flowers were unfathomable in color and a rainbow was gracing the bright sky all the time. The village was deep in the woods and had almost fifty cabins all around. There was one cabin that was painted blue, with pink flowers sitting in the window box. This was the home of Nina James. She had been a History Angel for a year.
She hadn’t gotten an assignment yet, she was still learning about the tasks required to do on earth. She knew she was going to work in the history department when the time came. She was under the careful guardian of Leo, her teacher.
Nina woke up and got out of bed with a yawn. She walked into the kitchen, and started to make herself something to eat. Looking out the window, she could see the garden was in full bloom, birds were singing in the forest around her. She could see her reflection in the window. She was back to being her teenage self. She treasured life in Heaven with her friends and the Guardian. Nina was eating her breakfast, and began aimlessly talking to her dog.
Her dog was a small poodle named Snowy that loved to play and hop around. She’d been thriving in heaven for fifty years. Fifty years since she had been married to Herbert and their four children. Fifty years since a heart condition took her life. She had long black hair, russet eyes bright and captivating. Heaven was a place with no sickness, money, hunger, or want, so her worries were extinguished. Peace of mind is a state of being. But unknown to her, worries would soon return. Angels took care of mankind, going about the earth, helping the living in different ways. Angels had work in different areas of need, such as the health department or the love department.
History of the world had become her playground. Except for one issue, the demon Domingus who has been meddling with history. Nina was drinking her coffee when she spotted a note slide under her door. She opened the note. The paper was lit up. It read: Nina you are to report to the House of Guardians.
Something must have been going on Nina thought. She has never been called to the House of Guardians. She got dressed swiftly and started on her way to the house.
The sun was shining high in the sky. The house was a vast Victorian house. It was painted a beautiful mint-green. She made her way up the hill and entered the house. There were offices everywhere in the house. The house was a lot bigger on the inside than it appeared to be. People were walking here and there. They were dressed in regular street clothes. Which surprised Nina. She thought they would be wearing long robes and halos. She stopped one of the ladies rushing by. She was tiny with blonde teeny tiny curls.
Excuse me! Could you please tell me where the history department is?
Nina asked.
Sure, just go to the second floor and take the second left.
The lady told her.
Thank you!
Nina said as she started for the second floor. When she got upstairs the halls were carpeted with thick brown carpet. Nina feet were sinking into the carpet as she saw the office.
She walked in the lofty office and saw her guardian sitting at his desk.
She just stood and looked at him. He was stunning. He had curly black hair, brown eyes, a full mouth and a pleasant, warm smile. He was kind, but he also had a mean side to him, if you crossed him. She could fall in love with him, but he was a guardian, and angels could not fall in love with guardians. It was against the rules.
His name was Leo. He put his pen down and looked at her. He was a first-class teacher and has been instructing her for the past year.
Nina, please come in.
He said.
Hello, Leo.
Nina said, as she walked further into the room. I got your note saying you wanted to see me.
He looked at her seriously.
Nina as you know I have been training you for a year and now I have a job for you. You will be sent to the White House and you will be working as a housekeeper.
Is the demon going to be there?
Nina asked.
You may have some company or you may not. We are taking a guess at the time era, and I will be keeping an eye on you. I know this is your first assignment, but I have faith in your training. I believe you’re going to do just fine, we have to send you right now.
But so suddenly!
Nina exclaimed.
We need an angel right away, the other angels are all out on assignments.
The guardian said.
Nina stood up and the guardian came around the front of the desk. He stood in front of her and looked right into her face.
If you need me, don’t hesitate to just call me. You just go to the White House and they will hire you. They’re expecting you.
Leo said, pacing around the room.
He was wearing a pair of jeans, a tee shirt, and black sneakers.
Now close your eyes Nina.
Nina closed her eyes and could feel his hand touch her shoulder. She could feel the heat pulsing from his touch. She began to feel lightheaded and dizzy. She could feel herself floating. Suddenly, she could feel a cool breeze on her face and the sound of people. Nina opened her eyes.
I’m not in Kansas anymore.
She said to herself.
She looked down at herself and saw that she was dressed for the year 2000. She had a blue cross hanging around her neck. If she needed to go back to heaven, all she has to do was wrap her hands around the cross, and she would be back in Heaven. Leo watched as Nina was sent down. He walked away to the crystal to check in on her. The crystal was a special class floor that’s just for guardians. You stepped on it and you could see your charges down below. He began watching Nina. He could see she was confused.
A smile came across his face.
He was three hundred years old, and he still loved to dress in jeans and a tee shirt. He had seen a lot of history and prized his task as a guardian. He was concerned she was on a large assignment and that this was her first one. Leo was apprehensive about her security as he watched her.
Nina looked at her surroundings. She could see the White House headed toward it. She was wearing a skirt, blouse, and high heels. She was having difficulty with the heels. It’s been awhile. She got to the front door and there was a guard stationed there.
He was dark and dressed in a very impressive navy blue suit. He had a nice smile and a badge that said his name was Hector.
May I help you?
The guard asked.
I’m here to start a job.
Nina said.
Wait here, I’ll get the supervisor for you.
Thank you.
Nina said.
A few minutes later the guard returned with a firm looking woman.
May I help you?
The lady asked Nina sternly.
Yes, I am suppose to start work today.
Nina said.
What is your name?
The woman asked.
My name is Nina James.
The woman looked on a clipboard she had.
Your name is on the list. You may come in.
The woman said.
Nina walked in. She couldn’t believe that she was in the White House.
You will be working in housekeeping. My name is Mrs. Dexter. If you need me, just call. I will be around to train you.
She said.
She took Nina up the stairs and to room on the left side of the hall. You can put your things here.
She entered the room where the door said housekeeping.
The room was full of brooms, buckets and bottles of soap. There was also a shelf full of blue uniform shirts.
First you have to put on the shirt.
Said Mrs. Dexter.
The shirt was navy blue and it said White House Housekeeping. Nina took the shirt and went into the ladies room and put the shirt on. She came out and walked over to Mrs. Dexter. Mrs. Dexter was a tall woman with a southern accent
Have you been working here long?
