About this ebook
Julius Rhodes-Ebetaleye
Julius Rhodes-Ebataleye was born in August 1965. He was raised in one of the several suburban in Lagos, which border the eastern flank of Victoria Island. Nowadays, Victoria Island plays host to the nouveau riche of the modern-day Nigerian socioeconomic milieu, although it is increasingly buffeted by the corporate offices of the ever-ubiquitous banks. The ranks of these banks is soon to diminish anyway, no thanks to the economic initiative of the government of the day, which aims at consolidating the banks in Nigeria as presently constituted. Maybe then, and only then, the assaulted quietude of this environment will be restored, and the perennial snarling traffic that has come to typify the landscape will abate, giving way to perfect harmony between man and nature. In those early days, when Victoria Island was still a tiny strip of sedate and sparsely populated land, unstrapped of its innocence, the Maroko ghetto existed quietly at its side. It was in this setting that Julius Rhodes-Ebetaleye Jr. was raised.
