    Bibliography

    Dedication

To my wonderful husband, Obie Trice, who has always been the wind beneath my wings: You have always had faith in me and have always helped me to have faith in myself to accomplish things that I thought I was not capable of accomplishing. But with the help of God, and with you standing beside me, I realize that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

To my three daughters, Selina, Tina, and Tameshia, who I think are beautiful inside and out, and to my grandchildren: You were always my inspiration to pursue God and to get myself together because I wanted better for you. I felt in my heart that if I didn’t make it you would not make it. Therefore, your love for me gave me strength when it got hard and kept me from giving up, even though God gets the glory for it all. I thank God that my love for you gave me enduring power because I had you in mind, just like when Jesus had to drink of His cup and could not pass it up because He had us in mind and He endured the cross for our sakes. Thank you Jesus

To all of my friends and spiritual children: God has been so generous and kind to bless me with so many wonderful friends, and spiritual sons and daughters, who are too many to name. I just want all of you to know that without you and God, it would not have been possible to accomplish the things God gave me to do. You are all the Unsung Heroes. I salute you all and want you to know that …your labour is not in vain in the Lord (1 Corinthians 15:58).

Last but not least, to my wonderful Mother who I love very much: You have been through a lot in your lifetime, but through it all, you have always been a woman of faith. I hope this book encourages you to know that God is faithful to turn your ashes to joy. God has let you see your children be snatched out of the fire and see your seed be blessed. I salute you Mom, and I give God all the glory, honor and praise for all He has done in our lives.

    Thank you Jesus!

    Forewords

This is a book of hope and faith, filled with the precious words of God. In this book, Evangelist Trice weaves drama, power, and intrigue into the narrative of the profound interplay of God’s sovereignty and human will. I have known Evangelist Trice for some years now and if you could spend some time with her as I have and witness the move of God in her life, you would know that the messages in this book are for you too. I have seen Evangelist Trice feed and clothe thousands of people over the years with no real source of income, but with the provisions of God that were entrusted to her care. So read with great anticipation and hear what God is saying to you through this work.

    Pastor and Friend,

    Bishop Adolphus L. Cast

    Life Applications Ministries Christian Church

Louise, I am honored to have you as my friend and honored that you called my name to write one of your forewords. I have enjoyed the priceless time we have spent in study, worship, and prayer together. To God be the Glory and all the praise for gifting you spiritually with ministry and discernment that touches people’s lives.

To readers looking for answers to, and understanding of, their personal life journey, Louise shares many types of life experiences and parallels them with God’s word. If you feel life is constantly an up-hill struggle, this book will provoke your thoughts to a higher spiritual understanding of daily living, purposed for every event and situation.

So, wake-up readers! Look up, climb up, and then lift your brother up! Take this opportunity to see the bigger picture, one that includes me and you too! After reading Louise’s book you will identify how your actions, calculated with God’s word, have supernatural results. Our journeys and testimonies may be different, but the end results are the same when you are obedient to God’s word and lean on it.

It was my pleasure and honor to have been asked by Evangelist Trice, almost a year ago, to read and edit the book that she’d been writing for some time. I am not a book reviewer or editor by trade or training, rather, a retired federal government manager. However, I have always had a love for reading and more importantly, I have a love for her. So I happily agreed, and as I began reading I was blessed beyond my expectations and awed by the truly inspired writing that I had been given the opportunity to read.

Evangelist Trice is one of the most spiritually attuned people that I have ever met. She is deeply rooted in the unfailing word of God and she possesses the miraculous and profound ability to see and interpret God in everything, including lemon meringue pie (you will be wowed by this powerful analogy and many others as you read on…). The way she lives her life she is joy, humility, compassion, kindness, caring, and love in action! Her journey to that place was not always easy but she has taken the lessons from the journey to become the incredible, spirit-filled woman that she is today. In her writing, she candidly shares some of her past experiences, and using them she provides enlightened and inspired illustrations to refresh, encourage, teach, and spiritually feed her reader. The power of God is apparent in her work.

If you know Evangelist Trice, you know that she is unquestionably a woman of God. It has been said of her, that she is the pen of the ready writer and If I wake up and Sis. Trice (as she is often affectionately called) is gone, I know that the rapture has occurred and I have been left behind, because those that know her know the truth of her gifts. However, even if you don’t know her, you will not miss this truth as you encounter the anointed and empowered words of Evangelist Louise Trice in the book that you are about to read. I know that you will be blessed as you read this, her first compilation, because the words contained within it will provide hope and encouragement, inspiration, healing, and deliverance, just as God intended. I count it all joy having her in my life!

Finally, please know that as a novice editor, I am solely responsible for any shortcomings in the editing of this piece, and I pray that any errors that I may have made do not distract you from the powerful blessing that you will receive from the words of this book. I am so happy that she chose me to assist her in the work of getting her powerful message to you.

To her I say, I thank my God at all times for you because of the grace [the favor and spiritual blessing] of God which was bestowed on you in Christ Jesus, that in Him in every respect you were enriched, in full power and readiness of speech [to speak of your faith] and complete knowledge and illumination [to give you full insight into its meaning]. In this way [our] witnessing concerning Christ (the Messiah) was so confirmed and established and made sure in you. 1 Corinthians 1:4-6 (Biblegateway.com, Amplified Bible). God Bless

    Preface

I know you are thinking, what a strange topic for a book! But God has been dealing with me for quite some time now about the Mountain of God. My quest began May 2, 2003. On that morning I awoke from a wonderful dream. I had dreamed that I was walking in a very high place and I could feel nothing but peace. Being concerned about the height I looked down toward my feet, but I could not see them for they were hidden in the clouds. I was in awe at the sight and I thought to myself in amazement I am walking on clouds! I began to look around and lo and behold, I could see the peaks of other mountains. I was so amazed! I said to myself, I am walking on the top of a mountain. As I walked to the edge of the mountain and looked down to the cliffs, I was even more amazed. There, on the cliffs of the mountains, eagles were resting. I looked up and I saw some eagles soaring, while others rested. I remember saying to myself I am in a place where the eagles fly! It was a place that was so peaceful and serene; a place where the magnificence of its beauty, splendor, and grandeur, was beyond words. I could actually sense the powerful presence of God and see His awesome glory on the top of this misty, foggy, mountain.

From the moment that I awoke, I knew that God was showing me that there is a place in Him where we can go closer to His presence; a place where we can rest in Him and have peace in our minds and hearts; a place where we can receive healing for our body, soul, and spirit. There is a place in God where you can go to get wisdom and guidance; a place where no one can harm you. God was letting me know that there is a place in Him that is so wonderful that you will never want to leave His presence or His glory.

Psalms 24:3-5 (amp.) says, Who shall go up into the mountain of the Lord? Or who shall stand in His Holy Place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not lifted himself up to falsehood or to what is false, nor sworn deceitfully. He shall receive blessing from the Lord and righteousness from the God of his salvation. This scripture shows me that we are to pursue righteousness, and to keep our hearts pure and honest before the Lord. This is how we will be able to climb to higher heights in the Lord and to stand before him with clean hands and pure hearts. We will be able to lift up our heads in any situation no matter how bad things may seem. If you have done what is righteous and true, you will have no guilt or condemnation. Truth and righteousness make us able to stand before a holy, righteous, and just God without guilt and shame, and the King of Glory shall come in. This scripture also tells us that those who stand upright and keep their hearts pure and their hands clean are the ones who shall receive blessings from the Lord and righteousness from the God of His salvation. And who doesn’t need these blessings from the Lord? Furthermore, the higher you ascend the mountain of God, the deeper you go into His presence. The more you are in his presence; the more you are conformed into His image and likeness. After all, you can’t be around someone all
