Ghana is located in West Africa, 8° north of the Equator and 2° west of

the Prime Meridian. It is bordered by the Gulf of Guinea and Atlantic Ocean to the south; Cote D’Ivoire to the west; Burkina Faso to the north; and Togo to the east. The total area is 239,460 sq. km; of which 230,940 sq. km is land; and 8,520 sq. km is water.
