About this ebook
Chris Pang
Chris Pang is a rather unusual author. Last year, when he was only ten, he began to write this book. Vancouver, BC, is his home, and he counts it as the most beautiful city in the world. He reads almost all of his spare time, especially supernatural thrillers or young adult novels. Writing is his best subject and he thoroughly enjoys letting his imagination run free. He got his idea of writing a book when he began wondering why adults were writing the books for them. The book took him few months to write, and it was actually not an easy task, especially for someone as young as him. He enjoys playing sports like basketball and swimming, and loves to read and write. We are now looking forward to reading his next book, which is about samurai.

The Secret Warrior - Chris Pang
Prologue
A creature stood inside the building, spying on a group of Grade 10s that were walking into the airport. There were about 25 kids, but the creature stared at a handsome looking guy that was chatting with his friends. Then, the creature spoke one small word. Nugiamos
. The air around him shifted and bended, and suddenly he was in a huge, dark hallway.
The creature walked down the hallway, only to be greeted by a burly soldier. The soldier looked shocked, and he stammered G-Good Morning Sir! General Chino is waiting for you.
The soldier swiftly turned around on his heel and typed a code on a small machine next to a door. The door swung open, only to show a huge chamber. There was a bearded man slowly staring at a bunch of maps, while a few other officers were arguing at him. When the door opened, they all turned to see the creature, and each one of them saluted. The creature smiled a gruesome, inhuman smile, and then spoke in a raspy voice. Be gone! I must talk to Chino about the battle plans.
The creature turned his head towards the bearded man, and then hesitated. He then pointed at a scared-looking officer. You there. Tell Alcazar to visit the Lair. Tell him to wait instructions there. Do you understand me?
The officer saluted and replied Yes, my lord.
He then scurried away, followed by the other officers. The creature then looked at the bearded man, who smiled. How may I be of use, my lord?
The creature spoke once more. The warrior has finally come. He is still quite young, but there is a powerful aura in him. He doesn’t know about anything… yet.
Chino replied, choosing his words carefully. Where can we find him, my lord?
The creature didn’t say anything, but merely placed an ancient looking finger on Chino’s forehead. A sudden picture flashed in to Chino’s mind, and Chino saw a familiar-looking paradise. There were sandy beaches and palm trees, along with clear sea. Finally, the creature spoke. He is going to reach Hawaii in 3 hours. Alcazar will be there to greet him on the U.S.S Missouri. You’d better get some of the dust ready.
Chino nodded, and then inquired. Sir, what do you plan to do to him in the Rodgers Lair?
The creature thought for a second, before replying. Alcazar is a very convincing man, and we certainly can’t afford getting him to be our enemy. We will invite him into out our Army, or just let him live in a mansion. He might be useful. Basically, we can’t afford him becoming like Tether.
And if he refuses?
The creature thought for a second, and took a vodka bottle of a small desk. He drank it for a second, before smashing it on a desk. The bottle shattered and fell to the ground. The creature then stared coldly at Chino. That is what you do.
Chapter 1
The Shape-Shifter
If you ask his friends, he is just a normal Grade 10 student. If you ask his teachers, he is a nice, popular guy. If you ask his doctor, everything changes. If the doctor is willing to tell the truth, he would tell you he never told even his mum that he doesn’t have the same DNA as her. He would tell you that his DNA matches exactly to the world’s most famous war heroes. He would tell you that his blood type is unknown, that his IQ is the highest he’s ever seen. He would tell you that this five foot tall, blond haired guy with blue eyes is not normal at all. Every time this boy wakes up, he stares at the ceiling, thinking that maybe another life was meant for him, something that differs from his regular life. Every time he came to the conclusion that he wasn’t really special. This boy’s name is Will.
A few days before the end of school, a few teachers decided to bring the grade tens to Pearl Harbour to study World War Two. Everyone boarded a small plane, and they took of for Hawaii. Throughout the plane ride, everyone was acting all rowdy and chucking things at each other. Will joined in the fun, but after a while, he started to feel a bit uneasy. He looked out of the plane window, only to see Hawaii. It was a beautiful place, full of white beaches and amazing hotels. The people looked like specks of dust from the plane, but Will could make out dozens of people on the beaches. They all seemed to be having a good time and Will couldn’t help but to smile when he realized he’d probably be joining them in a few days time. Despite everything, he felt uneasy. He couldn’t point out why he felt that, but he felt as if something very evil was lurking there. Suddenly, he had a great urge to tell the teacher to get the pilot to stop the plane. He stood up, but he was too late. The plane had landed on Hawaii. He decided that nothing bad could possibly happen in Hawaii. If he knew how wrong he was, he would’ve tried to blackmail his teacher to go back.
A few days later, Will and his friend Jonathan were drinking cokes in a small café. A waitress came towards the table and set down two plates of food, and the two were having a serious conversation on what jobs
