    CHAPTER ONE

    GOING TO A FAIRY TALE

Amberella Corgi Stafford looked out the screen door at the beautiful floral arch. The sunbeams coming through the door warmed her skin tingling already with excitement. Her legs shook a little down to her toes. She stretched to help stop the shaking.

Her parents had insisted on a long engagement so both she and Prince would be close to two years old. Amberella sighed and looked across the kitchen. Zozue and Tutsu, her French poodle sisters, lay sleeping. She laughed when she thought about them.

They wanted a magnifigue wedding for Ma Petite as they always called her. This included ice sculptures, beverage and chocolate fountains and cherubs hanging in the trees.

Oh dear, Grand-mère, their owner, had said. Grand-mère could secretly hear dogs when they talked ever since
