Mark C. Okorie Ph. D, is a Nigerian Catholic priest ordained 1993. He has been a school teacher and administrator in Pope John Paul II Seminary Okpoma Ogoja Diocese, Cross River State and Mater Ecclesiae Seminary Ahiara Diocese Imo State. His creative works include,Lullaby for the Lilies:ACollection of Rhymes, Poems and Songs for Young Minds 2004, a nine track Christmas album: Infant King Xmas Melodies 2010. CHAPTER ONE
On Terrorism
When theorists on defense arrived at self-defense, they felt they have reached a credible and safe hypothesis. Suicide bombers have shattered that theoretical barrier. The world has an urgent precedent on her hands now. It is a revolting and challenging thought to reflect on why somebody should violently end his or her life in the bid to get other people’s life or to get people’s response to a course. Surprisingly the response of the world to this supreme violence is further violence. In spite of all odds the poet sees the terrorist as a brother because he has been challenged beyond his wits to lose sight of his own supreme value. He should realize that the authors of his terror acts are at large, they distance themselves from the violence, using the suicide bomber as a guinea
