A colonial novel (the term is explicitly and unapologetically used several times in the text) where the indigenous Palestinian Arab population is completely ignored or patronisingly portrayed as submissve and grateful for the "technological enlightenment" brought in by the newcomers. Many of this novel's predictions came true, most of it at the expense of the indigenous population. A good insight into the mindset of Zionism's founding father. Zionism's expansionist plans to take over the country are the there to see for all. It's no wonder the local population resisted and refused the partition plan.
