Why Natasha?

About this ebook
Why Natasha? This is the question Natalie Moreland finds herself wondering as she stands outside reading the words on the door to her new private investigation agency. In the midst of getting the business details in order, “Nattie” was given the unlikely professional name of Natasha McMorales by her creative under-achieving brother, Kevin, who is also her office manager.
The incident quickly falls to the bottom of Nattie’s priority list as she’s immediately approached by someone in desperate need of her services. Nattie is hired by an Italian from Chicago to find his fiancé whose disappearance came without a word or warning of notice. As Nattie pursues the runaway bride-to-be, the journey takes her from Chicago to Meadowview to Tuscany, Italy and back to Bristol, Tennessee. The determined detective finds with each new clue comes another mystery to be solved.
Although Nattie is a brilliant detective, she often finds herself battling the voice within that echoes her insecurities, all of which were derived from her childhood. As a child, Nattie fell into the caretaker role to compensate for her alcoholic father and codependent mother. Whereas, Kevin’s immaturity followed him into adulthood. Despite their differences, Nattie and Kevin work together as they find their strengths and weaknesses tend to compliment the other. The underlying humor from the siblings is found throughout the books, making the series a fun read for mystery lovers.
While Nattie works primarily in Bristol, she keeps her luggage ready to go as she awaits the adventure her next case will take her on. The cases that seem to fall into Nattie’s lap involve a broad spectrum of topics from infidelities and fraud to missing persons and murder. There’s never a dull moment for “Natasha”, as readers anticipate Nattie’s next move while wondering what Kevin will surprise her with next.
The Natasha McMorales Mystery books are Bristol themed and are bursting with local color. A must read for locals as there are familiar businesses and landmarks throughout the stories allowing an interesting look to the place they call home. For those not from the region, the books offer entertaining mysteries that allow the reader to dive into the Bristol culture.
If you enjoyed following “Nattie” as she solves the mysteries with her witty intelligence and cunning humor, look for the second Natasha McMorales Mystery “Why Him?”. The third book in the series, “Why Me?” will be coming soon!
