It was my brother-in-law’s to be stag party. We’ve been out all night. We had already been for a few drinks so we were in the nightclub for obligatory late-night drinks. John, my brother-in-law, was already looking worse for wear. His two college friends had already had to get him out of trouble once. They were talking about calling an Uber and taking him home.

I wasn’t ready to end the night just yet. The club was open for another couple of hours. And I had convinced everyone to come to this place as it had a good reputation. Its reputation having been earnt not through just good music, but for the type of people who came here. It was known as a bit of a meat market, which hopefully meant I could get some action. So far I had been too busy looking after John to properly scout the place. But now he was going home, I had started to glance around to look at the best spots to find young women.

One of John’s friends tapped me on the shoulder. Steve, the Uber will be here in a couple of minutes, so we can take John downstairs and wait for it. You coming with us?

No, it’s okay I’m going to stay here. You can only fit three in the taxi anyway so one of us would be left out.

Are you sure? I can call you another If you like?

No, I’m sure. I will check out the local talent. The night is still young, so I am going to enjoy myself. I will see you back at the hotel in the morning.
