Givhan was born to sharecroppers in rural Alabama.  She is the youngest of twelve siblings.  She graduated from the local university and had a 3l-year career in the policy and procedures of Social Work.  Concurrently, she had a 26-year career with the Military Reserve.  Now retired and residing in Montgomery, Alabama, she focuses on working in her church and reading the Bible, receiving unspeakable joy and is devoted to spreading this joy to all.  She strongly believes that one can find his or her divine purpose and plan through the Word of God.
