Earl Beebe is a former member of the U.S. Army and consistantly scored expert in rifle markmanship. He has served tours in Germany, Korea, Panama and within the United States. He served on active duty during the first Gulf War. He presently lives in South Carolina with his wife Elizabeth. Both he and his wife presently work for the U.S. Postal Service and Mr.Beebe is a co-founder in Clear-Water Security Services. Earl Beebe brings to his writings his experience in weapons as well as other more specialized training that he is able to use to draw the reader into the action.

Prologue

Sasha sat in a plush two bedroom condo overlooking the city of Portland. Sasha is a magnificent and alluring woman in all aspects. She had beauty that few women could match but, which many envied. She had long blond hair that extended to her mid-back just above the curvature where her lower back met her very shapely, tantalizing rear end. She also had emerald green eyes that could portray either genuine passion or an artic cold stare that could freeze a person silent in mid-sentence. In addition to her incredible beauty, Sasha possessed a mind of great intelligence. Sasha could hold her own in any setting she found herself, and discuss any subject matter that was being floored. One could say that Sasha was the Renaissance woman. That statement could not be more true, for in addition to all her attributes; Sasha possessed one skill that separated her from all of the others. Sasha’s greatest asset is the ability to kill.

CHAPTER 1

Her friends knew that Sasha was a professional assassin. Trained in Moscow for political assassination by the most feared Glavnoje Razvedyvatel’noje U-oralenije, otherwise known as the G.R.U., Sasha was trained to assassinate mother Russia’s most feared enemies as well as enemies of the G.R.U. located within the Russian political system. In addition, to the training in assassination, Sasha was also instructed in the pleasures of the flesh. The most famous madam of escorts in Russian Intelligence trained Sasha. She was taught to please both men and women, so that the pleasures she gave would ensure total loyalty by any mate she was currently with at the time.

Sasha was born in Moscow during the height of the Cold War. Her father was a Russian Colonel who had won favor with President Gorbitov by saving his life in a failed coup attempt. Soon after the coup attempt, her father was promoted from Major to Lieutenant Colonel, and was given a plush assignment as a diplomat to Switzerland. Her mother, a woman of means originally from Switzerland, met Sasha’s father at a diplomatic party. The two were immediately attracted to each other, after a year-long courtship they were married. Sasha was the only child born to them and was given all the advantages of a child born into wealth and political influence. During her early childhood years, Sasha was found to possess a great mind and sharp wits. This combination did not escape the attention of the G.R.U. agent posing as a prominent teacher. Sasha was given a number of ‘confidential tests’ to measure her intelligence and moral fortitude. Due to all the advantages she had been born with she possessed a total lack of conscience and a deep level of patriotism. This combination along with intelligence and beauty made her a perfect candidate for the G.R.U.

Sasha’s parents were told of their daughter’s mental aptitude. Neither parent was surprised to hear of this news. The school’s ‘representative’, in actuality, another G.R.U. agent, told Sasha’s parents that they would like Sasha to attend a school for gifted children located several hundred kilometers from where they presently reside. Having only one child, Sasha’s parents firmly refused to accommodate the ‘school’s’ request. The G.R.U. an organization noted for not taking no for an answer, found a different means to gain control of little Sasha. One night while Sasha was being attended to by her nanny, her parents were involved in a hit and run ‘accident’ which the local police would report as suspicious. Both Sasha’s parents were killed. The other hit and run vehicle was nowhere to be found and the case was closed. The file was placed in the police’s cold case depository with the hundreds of other of unsolved cases that seemed to accumulate throughout the years.

A government child welfare case worker made Sasha, a ward of Russia, by notifying Sasha’s nanny and placing Sasha in the school for gifted children. Sasha’s nanny was relieved of her child care duties to Sasha. She was also given a generous compensation package from her deceased employers. The government reassigned the nanny to another family. Thus, the education of Sasha did begin.

Sasha arrived at the private school, and was soon placed in regular classes and special classes that would reinforce those traits that had gotten her noticed in the first place. In essence, she was brainwashed. Her special classes were assigned to challenge her already genius intellect. Sasha was already enrolled in mid college level courses at the age of twelve as well as specialty courses such as computer operation and programming. After two years of indoctrination, Sasha, was now becoming very inquisitive as to the reason select students were being assigned to specialty classes while most of the other students were continuing to be given the normal curriculum. Noting Sasha’s intelligence, it was decided that when Sasha turned fourteen, Sasha would be told of her placement with the G.R.U. Sasha, with her sharp intuitive instinct had already concluded that this was the case, therefore was not the least bit surprised when she was told this. Instead of feeling betrayal or anger for being misled as most fourteen year olds would, Sasha took the news as though it was only logical.

She was transferred to a more isolated training facility where she would start her training in earnest. Sasha was selected to become a political assassin based on her various tests results and psychological profile. Her training started with the basics, weapon familiarization, target acquisition, tailing a target, collecting information, selecting a termination site, language proficiency, manners, fashion, beauty school, geographical exploration, law enforcement techniques, laws governing different countries, countries with and without extradition treaties, reconnaissance, etc. This training, however thorough, did not prepare Sasha for the next stage of her future career.

This training would begin when Sasha would pass her sixteenth birthday. She was becoming a beautiful woman as she grew up. The G.R.U.’s most senior member noticed that fact and decided that Sasha would also be taught in the ways of enticement so as to make her much more devastating as an assassin. So, for the next two years Sasha would be taught all social and relationship skills imaginable, from basic passionate sex to meaningful relationships, like how to manipulate a partner to fall in love with her. Needless to say, the senior members of the G.R.U. would administer Sasha’s ‘exams’. At the age of twenty, Sasha had completed her training becoming G.R.U.’s most prized student. She was rapidly assigned to the assassination division of G.R.U. During the following five years, Sasha was given numerous assignments ranging from basic assassination, to the more complex assassinations such as poisoning, and accidents. By the time the Cold War ended, Sasha was responsible for close to a hundred killings. She had turned out to be by far the best assassin G.R.U. had ever trained.

CHAPTER 2

Back to the present, Sasha was in Oregon for business purposes. In the condominium complex located across the square was Sasha’s target, Amanda Wright. Amanda was targeted for assassination by a rival corporate head who did not like losing a major government contract to her company.

Sasha had now been a freelance assassin for about fifteen years. After the Cold War ended the intelligence agencies of the former Soviet Union had been dissolved, leaving an abundance of unemployed highly trained people. Sasha was one of those. Sasha soon realized that she had too much information to be permitted to just walk away. After her last sanctioned assassination was completed; Sasha simply disappeared, she was never heard from again.

Ms. Amanda Wright was the owner and Chief Executive Officer of Bytes Industries, a computer programming firm which had recently been awarded a contract with the U.S. Government. This contract was to provide the U.S. military with an impenetrable communication scrambling system. This contract was worth billions of dollars for Bytes Industries. Several companies competitively bid for this contract. One of which, is a company named D.I.T. (Defense Industries Technologies). This company was known to win and be awarded the majority of all U.S. defense contracts. The president of this company, named Richard, was a ruthless man. Richard was most furious that Bytes Industries had won the Defense Department’s bid.

He decided that Amanda Wright could no longer be tolerated. He therefore arranged a contract with Sasha to murder Amanda.

Richard’s contact with Sasha was made in an Internet chat room that was known only to certain individuals. Access was granted only after several layers of security checks and clearances that Sasha herself developed, one of which was a DNA scan of the person trying to gain access. If the DNA scan did not match any of the records, the program automatically sent a Trojan horse virus to the person’s computer that was trying to gain access to the site and would immediately destroy all information located in the hard drive of the person trying to make contact. This program ensured total security to anyone on the site. There were other security measures in place and just as dangerous but not as visible. Their primary purpose was to delay the person trying to gain access long enough for a specially designed tracking program to trace the origin of the user. Once the tracking program traces the user’s web address, it automatically sends a Trojan horse virus to the user if needed, while at the same time preventing anyone from tracing Sasha’s site. Only people who were granted security clearances from Sasha could access Sasha’s web site. In order for certain individuals to have access to Sasha’s site, they had to undergo an exhaustive background check by Sasha.

Once contact with Sasha was made, the only details that were given to Sasha were the target’s name and the place the target was located. Sasha would contact the person ordering the contract only after she could confirm the targets identity and location. Her price was fixed firm and non-negotiable, and most importantly, non-refundable. A contract could be cancelled up to the date given by Sasha, but the money was still due regardless. Neither Sasha nor a client had ever broken this policy, mostly because of Sasha’s unforgiving and ruthless reputation, and it kept clients from betraying her. Sasha, to her credit, has never failed to complete a contract that she has accepted. She was the most successful assassin in the recorded history of assassination.

CHAPTER 3

Sash’s recent assignment was a very public assassination of a very high level colonel located in Chechnya. Ironically, the newly established G.R.U., Sasha’s former masters ordered this contract. They had heard of Sasha through other organizations that had used her services. They never knew that it was their prized prodigy who was now the infamous Sasha. The G.R.U. wanted in that contract to send a very public and very decisive message to the Chechnyan rebels. Sasha used platitude, C-4 plastique explosive, to kill the Colonel at a secret meeting of the Chechnya leadership. A bomb was placed in the colonel’s sedan upon his arrival to the meeting site, and as he was leaving the bomb detonated his vehicle.

The blast was large; it killed over a dozen people who were at the bomb site area, and destroyed most of the building where the meeting was to be held.

Simultaneously, Sasha remotely detonated explosives at the homes of all of the Colonel’s relatives who resided in Chechnya, an action which eliminated the Colonel’s entire family tree. Sasha’s fee for this contract was ten million American dollars. The terms of payment were half down at the time the contract was placed, and the other half payable within twenty-four hours after the contract was completed. There were several bank accounts in the Cayman Islands that Sasha used as a depository for her contracts. She liked the Cayman’s because of their lax banking laws, and their refusal to cooperate with the U.S. and other countries who liked to track money trails. The Cayman Islands have become much more preferred over their predecessor, the Swiss.

CHAPTER 4

Sasha viewing Amanda through a Winchester high power spotting scope, which was positioned on a tripod, located on the windowsill that Sasha was currently sitting on. The condominium that Sasha was using belonged to a man named Jonathan Rames. Sasha had met Jonathan at a theater near the condominium complex. She ‘accidentally’ bumped into him as they were entering the theater and soon struck up a conversation with him. She told him that she was in town to give a seminar on retirement benefits for her company. Jonathan became infatuated with Sasha.

Jonathan invited Sasha back to his place for a nightcap after the show was over. Sasha accepted, knowing most people visit theaters nearest their home. Her hope was that his place would be located within a reasonable distance to Amanda’s condo. She let Jonathan do most of the talking as they walked. She learned that Jonathan was a partner in a law firm who dealt with many foreign clients. The firm specialized in international business law. They helped businesses to negotiate all the red tape involved in expanding their business in the United States. As they continued walking, Sasha was pleasantly surprised to see that they were heading in the direction of Amanda’s condo. Sasha couldn’t have been happier to arrive at Jonathan’s condo; Jonathan was living in the condominium complex across the square from Amanda’s.

Sasha quickly seduced Jonathan with delicious, titillating, passionate sex. Sasha had gone without a man for quite a while; not because she couldn’t get a man; but because of her need for invisibility. They made love long into the night, exploring each other’s body with their hands and their mouths. As they lay in near exhaustion after their sexual rendezvous, Jonathan asked Sasha about seeing her again the next night as he gave her a slip of paper with his telephone number on it. Sasha agreed only after she induced Jonathan to talk her into it. She didn’t want Jonathan to feel that she did this often and possibly rescind his invitation. Sasha stated that she had to get back to her hotel and prepare for her seminar. She asked Jonathan to please call her a taxi. He offered to drive her to her hotel; she declined with the promise that they would get together the next evening. When her taxi arrived, Sasha gave Jonathan a lingering, very intimate, French kiss while placing her entire body against his, with a hint of what was to come the next evening. Jonathan begged her to stay the night; promising her that he would be sure to deliver her to her company in time for her seminar. Sasha would have expected no less, declining his offer with a hint of remorse; she headed down the elevator to her taxi.

CHAPTER 5

As she headed to her hotel, which was located in a suburb of Portland, well away from the condominium complex she just left, Sasha planned to acquire Jonathan’s condo for the fulfillment and execution of her plan. Two days prior when Sasha arrived in Portland, the first thing she did was check into the hotel she had reserved online. When she arrived at the front desk, she asked to speak with the manager on duty. When the manager arrived, Sasha informed her of the necessity for privacy of her room. She went on to tell the manager that she would not want any maid service while she was there, that she would have sensitive equipment set up in her room and did not want it disturbed. She made up a story of being with a federal law enforcement agency that was conducting surveillance on a possible suspect that was staying in the area. The manager of course agreed, telling Sasha that she would be sure to inform the other shift managers of the situation. Sasha
