About this ebook

It seems the Government Politics and Hood Politics are one and the same, its just the scale which one plays that outweigh the other, but know the rules, one has rules and one rules all.

The Forgotten Ones - C.J. Smooth

     -

    PROLOGUE -

In the summer of 1989, Mr. and Mrs. King lost two of their three sons; Johnathan Jon Jon King and Timothy Big Tim King; both shot and killed by unknown persons in Bedford Stuyvesant Brooklyn.

Jon Jon was allegedly shot by accident, caught in a cross-fire of two rival drug dealers that are gang related.

Big Tim, was a well known and respected drug dealer himself, feared by the gangs, and a few underworld figures, cause, Big Tim arms reached in every borough, and some out-of-state neighborhoods, his name really rang bells; and, his team was a menace to society, if someone caused them to be.

When the street report came back to Chop, the leader of the Red Bulldogs (a blood-gang set), that Big Tim’s brother got hit during one of his roundups, Chop wouldn’t and couldn’t show it amongst his team, but he was scared to death.

Mello, the leader of the Ride or Die Crips (a crip-gang set), had heard that Big Tim’s brother got hit; Mello also knew that Jon Jon was dead, because China a ‘Cripette’ (a female crip), worked in Kings County Hospital, reported that information to her leader.

Mello was hoping that no one from his set was responsible; Mello was so shook-up, that he didn’t even care about the two members he just lost in that showdown, because he knew Big Tim was in the immediate picture now, and for sure, the roundups. Mello was truly hoping that Big Tim’s street investigation implicates Chop and his thing, and not him or his thing as those responsible; cause Mello knew all too well, when someone touches something of Big Tim, he touches all yours back, and then some.

This was the day the local precincts (77th; 79th; 81st; 88th; etc.), their police officers and detectives have been waiting for; all calls and ‘ABB’s’ went up and out; that Big Tim brother was shot and killed, and if they were ever gonna take him down, now was the time; they were all hoping his emotions supersede his high strategy of evasiveness from the law.

Six people been knocked already, and everybody knew, Big Tim made it happen.

    CHAPTER (1)

Nathan, Nathan, Timothy here, come down stairs, Mrs. King said. Janice King was and still is a beautiful bad ass woman. The bad ass is literal, literally conniving, she was dangerous in her day, that is one of the reasons Mr. King married her, she was a true Bonnie to a true Jekyll and Hide Clyde.

Tim, come up here for a minute, Mr. King said. Nathan King, a serious gangster, his title can never be stripped. If the Feds knew who he really was, the shit he did, even at the age of 65, they would put him in front of a firing squad, no judge, no jury, just simply kill his ass.

Mr. King knew the status of his first born ‘Big Tim’, and he admired his son’s candid strength, however, his son status was no more than a soldier position in his organization days. Mr. King also knew who was behind his son Johnathan’s death, and how many people have been murdered behind his son death, he also knew it was a far cry from being over as long as Tim was standing.

The only concern Mr. King has and his only prayer, is for his son Tim, to know when to pull out the game like he did, and get to enjoy his little ones while he count his ones.

What up dad, Big Tim asked.

The King Family, replied Mr. King.

    You o.k.

Yeah, I’m o.k., but how is mom taking it, Big Tim asked.

Big Tim didn’t really know his mom’s history, she could be emotionless, mind you, her empathy is hardcore street. Big Tim thinks just because she from Richmond Virginia, that she couldn’t possibly expect or understand her son being murdered.

That was a wrong but protected perception she displayed for her children, she no stranger to the game, she killed her own uncle for raping her, and her mom’s boyfriend murdered for beating on her mom’s. Even though some may feel it was a just cause, for the incidents, but go figure, a beautiful woman, a split image of that new actress named Halle Berry, with just a little more ass on her.

Now Halle Berry is so beautiful that she look fragile, like you just want to protect her and love her, right?, but then, look at her eyes, seductive, mysterious and something odd in there too, right?. Now remember Bonnie, now you all have a better view of Mrs. King, that was another reason Mr. King married her ass. She is a official; loyal; every street hustler, thug, gangster, drug dealer’s dream and she is intelligent too, she is part of the reason Mr. King’s illegal money is now legal, and it can last them two life times.

My thing is, a woman that looks like her is not supposed to be into that type of shit.

Your mom is o.k., Mr. King said. However, you need to slow down a little playing with your girlfriends and boyfriends, come out of Brooklyn for a while and spend some time with your mother and help us make plans for Johnathan, so we can fly his body home to your Grandmother’s estate. Mr. King true intentions were to keep the heat off his son.

Mr. King still received certain info, his title will forever precedent that right; whether from the streets, prisons or certain agencies, especially Federal Prisons.

Why we sending his body to Virginia, when you and mom live here, Big Tim asked. Then it dawned on him, his little brother is in Federal Prison out in Virginia, but the fact was, their Grandmother was crazy about Jon Jon.

It would also be good to see his little brother again, he haven’t visited him for over seven months now. The last time was when Jon Jon came home from Kuwait; they went to see Nice for three visits straight, catching up on old times and family business.

Jon Jon wasn’t down with Big Tim or what his little brother did, but he was for them. Jon Jon had killed his little brother’s right hand man Snake for snitching on him, then went straight into the United States Reserves.

Nathaniel Nice King had got life for extortion and number running; the Federal Prosecutor couldn’t convict Nice for his alleged body count of four, thanks to his little big brother Jon Jon.

Nice started his thing at the young age of 18, following the footsteps of Big Tim, who started his thing at 16, whereas, Big Tim have and still is, counting a successful run of twenty years.

Big Tim started seeing the big ones at the tender age of 22, whereas, Nice had a four year run and ended up with life in Federal Prison at the tender age of 22.

The King men are two years apart in birth, Big Tim is now 36; Jon Jon was 34; and Nice turned 32 on June 1, 1989.

Nice admired Big Tim style, and was grateful for the hit of his phony ass man Snake, but they never mentioned it to each other, just a look of ‘ I know’; ‘ I got you bro’, but little did Nice know, Big Tim had nothing to do with Snake being murdered, it was Jon Jon who did it. The only one that knew besides Jon Jon was his father, Mr. King.

Nice is a revengeful cat, like his mother, a sneaky and dangerous dude, his smile and style is what rocks the opponent. He was always quick to do things, and often alone, especially when it came to get rid of someone who he assessed was a threat or equal opportunist in his line of work; namely those four bodies the Feds couldn’t find, basically he was a perfect rebirth of his mother and father.

What made him so dangerous was you couldn’t see when he snapped, he is suave, calm and preserved, that same behavior is what reversed his life sentence into 144 months upon his new trial. No star witness , thanks to Jon Jon, a well educated and mannered man; number running and extortion of club owners, whereas, these alleged owners themselves never came forward, is really no crime, so thought his new jury. By the time all that had happened, Nice already had 108 months in.

The sick thing is, Nice got a twisted conscience, he felt 12 years was sufficient, namely, 3 years for each body he did, which justified his re-sentence of 12 years, God’s punishment to him, he figured.

Because of Jon Jon, Nice received a second time around, that was the gift to his little brother, even though it came 9 years later, it’s funny how Nice use to look at Jon Jon back in the day as his little fragile brother that needed his protection or street credibility, he was a KING. It’s unpredictable, how, when or what a King member will get at you; that was Jon Jon’s style, only in the name of his family, especially Nice.

Alright dad, let me go grab some things and I’ll swing back here, so we can sit down and do what we got to do, then pull up out of here and take Jon Jon home Big Tim stated.

    CHAPTER (2)

Timothy where are you going, Mrs. King asked.

I’m going to grab a few things from my house; I’ll be right back in like three hours mom, o.k. Big Tim said.

Alright, you want me to cook your favorite dish Mrs. King asked. Knowing he loves her chicken and rice pâté.

Mrs. King smiled and observed her first born, he reminded her of her husband Nathan in his prime. This is not only because he looked a lot like his father, she also knew what her son was all about, which was similar to her husband, and close to the age gap, when she met his father, in fact he was 29, almost the same age as Nice when they hooked up, she herself was only 21.

She remember clearly, after her first fuck session with Nathan, she knew, she was pregnant and emotionally attached; Mrs. King laughed then blushed, reminiscing how Nathan tore her ass up on her mother’s couch, doggie style, and when he came, he told her, ‘you my bitch for life’ so far 36 years in the making.

Mrs. King was down for her man, now all her men, and if something were to happen to any of the others after Jon Jon, them so called young gangsters out there would learn the true meaning of a scandalous bitch; and even at 57 years of age.

She was still a looker, she could easily pass for her early 40’s and even more so committed to her loyalty and odd conduct, cause naturally, that is a mothers’ instinct, to defend her young; as far as she was concerned, she lived a princess dream, she has a beautiful home, a one in a million faithful husband; three handsome sons, which she seen all grow and become men; and five grandsons.

Death at this point meant nothing to her; than seeing her conceited ass self become wrinkle with no teeth.

She knew Timothy was making every person that was in the vicinity of Jon Jon’s murder pay, this is one of the reasons she was taking Jon Jon’s death so well. Mrs. King always believed in revenge, an eye for an eye, and then some; if yall only knew what she did to her uncle when she was only at the tender age of 17.

Timothy, matter of fact, I want to go with you, plus stop at the supermarket and get a few things, then I’ll cook when we get back; just let me go and get my bag Mrs. King stated.

Big Tim didn’t want his mother with him, especially because of the cleaning he was having done. He never refused his mother anything, nor disrespected her, especially after she ‘G’ checked him one summer; she scared the shit out of him literally.

He knew the stupid market she wanted to go to, the shit is a maze factory that sell everything and I mean just about everything, Big Tim knew, the three hour trip just turned into five or six; but more importantly he knew that area was allowed, more so granted to Mello by him back in the day.

You see Mello use to work for Big Tim and learned some of the street life from him also and, over the years Big Tim admired Mello like a son, and the way he handled his business.

What made Big Tim so successful is, he don’t under estimate anyone, from a bum on a street corner, to the dudes of equal status. Mello is smart he got like ten years in the game, a decent team, and enough money to throw a minor storm. The last two dudes that came up dead, of the six body count, was from Mello’s team, and Big Tim know that Mello knew that it was him that was behind it.
