About this ebook

In his 20 years, Princeton Legree has braved many experiences and adventures. In his work, Who Says Life Sucks?, Princeton presents samples of his enthralling journeys, from his very first midnight adventure to his middle school student body campaign.

Princeton has not only included his own experiences, but also the stories of his family members, including his aunts attic hopscotch mishaps and how his grandfather Sam learned to walk. In addition, Princeton shares poems that he wrote from elementary school to high school. Other contributions include two poems written with the creative ability of his mother, Margaret Legree, and by his accomplished sister, Amethyst Legree.

In his work, Princeton conveys how mischievous and curious kids experience life doing what kids do, GETTING INTO TROUBLE! In doing so, he hopes to show that when such trouble occurs, one can learn from it, try to find the humor, and avoid such situations moving forward. His many adventures contribute to his unique view on life and his many accomplishments.

Princeton Legree resides in Cypress, California. He majors in Philosophy, Politics, and Law at the University of Southern California.

    Preface

I was in the 6th grade at St. John’s Lutheran Middle School when my English teacher instructed my class to write about a personal story or episode from our respective pasts. I was very excited to receive this project because it was my chance to share one of the many fun and exciting adventures I had experienced by the age of eleven. In the three years following, I would continue to write many more stories, including some from family members, until I eventually found a modest volume on my hands. With the love and support of my parents I continued to detail and refine these stories into this book.

Presidential Speech shares my middle school bid for student body president at St. John’s Lutheran School. As the first entry in this book, it serves to introduce my personality and character as a timid young man who rises to the occasion, when necessary. It is also my hope that my speech will encourage leadership and civic-minded entrepreneurship among young readers. The Crab Head Baby follows this entry as it details my birth, as inspired by my mother’s recollections. The peculiar conditions surrounding those events, as well as the fortunate conclusion, established the rhythm and tone of my life as well as this book.

The Midnight Adventure is an entertaining story about my dog, Draco, and I and our journey into my neighbor’s house one night in my scheme to play a video game. Engrossed with my mission, this story shares one of the more dramatic occasions growing up where I experienced dealing with a moral dilemma, being four
