I dedicate this trilogy of poems to the hundreds of millions of people all over the world who in their daily life’s struggles, are trying to come to terms with their fortunes, whilst making meaning out of their lives one way or another and never giving up, even in the face of disappointments and seeming hopelessness and helplessness, as they seek to eke out a living.

May the never failing hope and peace in Christ Jesus continue now and always to illuminate your hearts, to shine a light on your way to realising your destinies.

Whether you are in the East, North, West or South, I salute your bravery and gallantry, knowing that life can be tough for the most part.

It remains for me to ask you not to give up on life nor yourself nor God, even so whilst asking the vitally important questions that life’s confronting challenges can throw up.

I am pleased for this opportunity to express my unreserved appreciation and gratitude in both small and big ways to the people, and the many events that have contributed in shaping my experiences and hence worldview, in all these years of my life, from birth through childhood to the present day.

These have obviously had resounding impact on my perceptions and processing of facts and information distillation, which inevitably informs my expressed views in this work, part of which is the gift of salvation that attended my born again experience, and His continuous saving grace upon my life, to this day and beyond.

Most of all and pre-eminently, my utmost gratitude and unalloyed devotion go to my heavenly Father – God indeed, who during my conception, right through birth and my formative years to the present day has never once failed or let me down. Oh thou gracious and merciful God, I am most privileged to be able to express the fact that You have been good and kind and gracious to me and my family – wife and children.

Thank you for not giving up on my human foibles and limitations that must be at times irritating, and yet, You have always led me gently with your hand in mine, bidding me not to be afraid, and through all of my pain, despair and vicissitudes, helped to soothe my nerves by Your divine presence and healing balm of Gilead, whilst gently beckoning me to come into Your banqueting hall, where Your banner over us is Love.

Thank you Lord for your never failing love even in moments of chastening, and for not leaving me to the devises of man and the machinations of the Enemy. I reaffirm my trust in You and in You alone, and, I remain indebted to you forever.

Thank you to my wife and children who continue to be true friends and family to me, and whose indefatigable support for and continuous engagement with me, have for the most part, played a vitally significant and morally supportive role to birth this project. To you my dear wife and children, I am most grateful and appreciative.

Thank you too to the best mum in the world that I am fortunate to have as part of my divine bequest.

I have a modest but dignified list of friends scattered all over the globe, who in time past as now, continue to be more than friends to me, as indeed they go beyond the call of duty to dispense their non-obligatory but fraternal love that is so much more than the stipulations of friendship, by upholding the high standard of our relationship as brothers and sisters.

Thank you all for helping to shape my preliminary forays into the professional and corporate and now, literary world.

I thank God most especially for the eternal significance of His Word as recorded in the Holy Scriptures and passed down to this generation under the Divine guidance of the Holy Spirit, without any adulterations whatsoever, and which shall outlast all generations even unto eternity, and without which I could not and would not even begin to understand, let alone untangle the many webs in life’s often baffling and sometimes unpredictable outcomes, laid bare in places in these works.

That the Holy Bible has left us in no doubt as to the end of our sometimes bumpy ride through life to but clear-cut destinies, is an attestation of His will for us not to be left in the lurch as to the outcome of our decisions in the here and now and, most importantly, to assist us in making informed decision on the choice of a saviour, even so with eternal consequences, just as the many daily choices we make have far reaching repercussions in our lives, both in the short and long terms.

Jesus Christ is Lord to the Glory of God the Father.
