However, it was only after many years that a full awareness of this experience was realized, and its impact led to the writing of this poetry. The author describes a revealing, passionate spiritual development as he learned about divine things, accepted them and strived to advance in stages to a closer relationship to God.

Charles L. Cingolani

The author was born in 1933 in Butler, Pennsylvania. He spent most of his life far away from his birthplace, taking up residence in Germany some thirty years ago. He has held teaching positions in the United States and Germany. He is married and has two children.
