    After Revelations - J.L. Bolden

    In The Beginning

In a galaxy known as Genovea there was a plush, vibrant planet named Eden which many planets could model themselves after. For it was filled with happiness, love, and above all, God. There lived a peaceful civilization of beings known as Edenlings. They were extremely intelligent, easygoing, and fun-filled humans with a lifetime of joy. For thousands of years the planet was at peace.

One day the balance of the universe was thrown off. Everything was converted into chaos, as a result of unforeseen events. Incest, lust, fornication, betrayal, and tragedy became common place for the once serene, euphoric planet. Several children were born from this upheaval and were destined to revamp the planet of old.

    Culture

The people of Eden were a race of people who were spiritual with physical and mental perfection. They were extremely strong, fast, intelligent, swift, and cunning. Even with their extreme knowledge and precision that they possessed, they mainly lived simple lives with only a few technological advancements that made travel quicker. Nothing was ever introduced into their community that could be potentially harmful.

From birth, all inhabitants of Eden were taught to live for their neighbors, to give love and share life with everyone so they could live happy lives. There was only one true leader of the planet that handled politics and government. The people were governed by the hand of Gelnash. He governed all. God was the head of all things. Within the culture, every person was seen as an equal and no one received any special treatment. No man was professed as being better than any other and none wished to be.

In the workplace, no one held any particular job title. Each occupation was rotated on a regular basis. A person could be a carpenter for one year and be an architect the next. Occupations were done as needed to keep the stability of the race so that no one felt superior over anyone else. Although no one was ever required to do a profession more than once, they could volunteer if needed to any profession in their off-time. Everyone was an expert at everything. Knowledge of the work world was transmitted genetically to each offspring from their parents. The only occupation that did not change was that of the Elders. An Elder remained so until Passover.

The profession of Elder was appointed to anyone that reached the mature age of sixty which was close to half their lifespan living of Eden. The Passover age was 160 years, in which one departed their physical body and joined the spirit filled realm of Heaven.

Throughout the years, however, they developed an almost insatiable appetite for sex due to changes on the planet. There was a plan of action that was around from the beginning of time, according to the books in the libraries. The Elders studied and practiced Magii, which was used for the processing of the albritea fruit. Magii also assisted in filtration of the water systems and transportation devices used on the planet.

On the eve of the twentieth birthday of every adult Edenlings, life they were officially paired with another of the opposite sex and given a home, land, and necessities on which to survive. Couples had five years to live together to acquaint themselves before starting any profession.

The couple’s homes were prefabricated from a select set of blue prints that were chosen depending on how large the family. Everyone started out with the same basic floor plan or square footage that could be customized to their liking. The homes were lavish and outfitted with the finest of product possible from the resources on the planet. Whenever the announcement of a new baby was on the way, the Elders were first to be notified. The building architects and any other professionals connected with the new baby would be contacted. The construction crew would also make alterations to the homes based on the changing family size.

    Race

Edenlings were similar to the humans of Earth with slight modifications. Their pearly, black skin shined from the moonlight’s reflection, and they had the ability to see in extreme darkness. Their skin had a unique quality transforming from being as soft and smooth as a baby or as tough as the scales of a dragon. Their tough skin formed protective body armor, harder than any natural substance known to them. Every woman looked physically identical to every other woman and the same held true for the men. Both genders were completely hairless with the exception of woman’s eyelashes. Their nostrils were streamlined and sleek. Their bright, cloud white eyes were slightly slanted. The men were about seven feet tall with ridged, muscular bodies weighing at three hundred pounds. The females were very lusty at about six inches shorter than their counterparts. Women had perky, small-sized bosoms with a small waist, thick thighs and glutes, perfect muscle tone, and slender necks. They were the epitome of physical perfection.

    Planet

The surface of Eden was beautiful and lush with green plants and giant trees towering over three hundred meters, with a base of twenty meters wide. The waters are crystal clear. The mountains were green with moss and grass, and there were no deserts anywhere. The only fruit that grew on the planet was a bright, red fruit known as albritea. The fruit would exude a bright, reddish-orange hue at night that created an illuminated forest of extreme beauty. Albritea fruit, with the use of the methods of Magii, was processed into many different delicious foods and distributed amongst the population. There was wildlife. This wildlife was extremely vicious and untamed; which infringed upon the almost perfect existence of the Edenlings.

    Transportation

The main form of transportation, within the city, was achieved by beams of light through a light beam system. Every home had a beam platform installed outside on the front step and inside the main bedroom. People entered the beam system from the left side and reappeared on the right of the destination beam platform. Although each citizen was physically identical in every way, the light beams read their brain wave patterns and individual spirit for identification. The system made sure each person was in their designated home and guarded against unauthorized persons from entering. At the time each home was constructed, the transportation beams were programmed with brain patterns of all that lived within the home. When any new additions arrived, they were added to the database of the light beam system. The same was true for the workplace and visitors to homes; although, public places such as stores and parks had an open travel system.

    Dangers

While life on Eden was safe for its inhabitants, venturing out to harvest albritea could easily be deadly if one failed to exercise extreme care and caution. For centuries the wildlife consumed the plants and humans ate albritea. The breed of herbivorous included Felnacks, Veebs, and Aldridches. They were part of Eden for centuries and never ate any meat. Unlike other animals they too had the ability to strengthen their skin into an almost impenetrable armor.

There was one who succeeded in evolving past the animal stage. This Aldrich was cunning and known to the people as Scrungen. None knew how he gained his abilities that he possessed. He was the most dangerous of any threat that ventured through the forest. He had fangs and claws that were sharp as razors with multiple rows of teeth and a long, spear-like tail. Legend told a tale that he was some fifteen feet high at the shoulders to five feet wide and twenty feet long, not including his tail. It was even said that he could talk. If anyone ever came across him they never lived to tell about it.

    Harvesting

Outside of the city walls was the only time the inhabitants showed their extraordinary physical and skin morphing abilities. Albritea harvesting was the only dangerous profession that existed. They collected the fruit through harvesting. Each harvest team consisted of Collectors, Watchers, and Fighters totaling a group of nine. Any of the party could assume any of the roles at any time during the harvest.

They generally left their home knowing their designated roles. The Collectors didn’t have body armor or protection and were most vulnerable to attack. Yet, they needed to be as agile as possible while swinging from tree to tree. The Watchers had minor armor protection. Because of their special vision, they were outfitted with distinctive visors which allowed them to see much farther than the Fighters or Collectors. In addition to their natural body defenses, Fighters were fitted with reinforced armor which provided extra protection along with their toughened skin. It was made of the highest endurance metals that could be found to protect against Scrungen, should he choose to attack.

    Magii

Magii was used for the most important tasks for survival on the planet. The process and practice of Magii was introduced into the culture in the last century. One of the most important uses was in the processing of albritea into different varieties of edible foods. Albritea without the use of Magii for food processing was said to have adverse negative effects. Shield defense was another use of Magii. It was used to protect the many cities across the planet from Scrungen.

    Clothing

For the most part, males and females of Eden dressed in very fashionable robes which were most suitable for their high libido. The fighters had modified body suits that would allow them complete freedom when running and fighting. The Harvesters wore a sort of harness that allowed complete movement and freedom with little protection. Quick, agile movements were just as necessary for harvesting, as it was for fighting.

Dressed in a well decorative garb, was the only way to be seen. It was a very important and exquisite process because everyone was extremely determined to be unique. The clothing was made and processed based on the unique orders of each individual or entire family that wore them.

The women dressed in a provocative way to catch the eyes of their male counterpart. Even though the women were flawless in every physical way, their persuasion was trite. Color and design played a large role in sexual attractiveness. To get that uniqueness that men desired, some woman covered all but their eyes while out in public. But the most plainly dressed women were still a sexual beast.

The most common male robes were cut and designed to show their chest muscles. The robe was sleeveless with hardened lapels to show the chest area, and the shoes were made of cloth. Generally, the city dictated the footwear and clothing that was to be worn.

    Sex

The Edenlings were extremely sexual creatures. Before recent turn of events that took place over a thousand years ago, they were discreet about their sexuality. Modern-day Edenlings engaged in more than ten sexual encounters per day and were not discreet about it. The gorgeous creatures didn’t let anything get in their way when it came to sex. Once the lustful urge filled their body, the hormones raged wildly. During the sexual experience the females took on a very distinct look with a feint, golden glow to match their eyes. This was noticeable because their skin was a lustrous black. In conjunction with the rise of a morning sun, a bright, yellow tint appeared upon a female’s bosom and crotch. It was how the female body prepared itself for what was to come. The women experienced an annoying, tantalizing pain that simply drove them crazy, yet, it eventually killed them.

A scenario may occur where suddenly, without warning, a female could tackle a male in a crowded park and rip off his cloths and become involved intimately. Any woman witnessing the encounter could only watch while her hormones reacted, and she too could become intimate with the male. The female’s behavior could lead to her death if the sexual frenzy was not subdued. Males secreted an antidote to the phenomenon which must be administered immediately, or it would not work.

Some Edenlings were careful not to be without their spouses at any time which formed a symbiotic-type relationship. When the wife got a deadly glow she knew her husband would always be there to help her. The love that couples had was true and unwavering, while others began to enjoy the abomination of intimacy.

    The Promise

After a couple’s first sexual encounter, they vowed to each other that they would never leave their side, and one would gladly die for the other. The sexual connection was phenomenal and unlike any other. They would give themselves to each other without a complaint. They shared the deepest of thoughts and never had a disagreement about anything. It was almost as if they could sense what the other was thinking. A couple did things a little bit different from the normal culture of the planet. They were the first to develop such a close relationship. A promise that was made between them was to never share themselves with anyone else sexually, regardless of the laws.

    chapter 1

    Tragedy

A large pillar crumbled to the ground as Alkiyana and the rest of the harvesting team trekked into the forest in search of the coveted albritea. Harvesting was not the same, and Alkiyana wasn’t the only one who had noticed.

Is it me or do the trees look different? asked Emaurri, as he gazed at his friends who all reminded him of looking at his own reflection in the mirror.

It’s not just the trees but the grass as well. It is shredding my shoes, added Alexandrine.

All I do is cough, cough, cough, and cough, said Bellonar.

I can barely breath, the air is so stagnant. Harvesting used to be so different. We’d laugh and joke around. It was fun! Now it’s anything but fun, remarked Alkiyana.

Morgaine looked at the gray sky, pointed to the rigid ground, and recollected. Yes, yes I remember. It’s been many months since our team has had to harvest. I remember blue skies and soft grass upon my skin.

Sumera turned to Lil. What do you think?

Lil’s eyes tightened in the corners and her brow furrowed. Be still and listen. Upon starting this journey the grass was plush, the air was pure, and the rocks were sturdy. I suggest we settle here and make this harvest the fastest we have ever made.

Agreed, added Grell, as he moved his head from side to side scanning for unseen dangers.

I have an uneasy feeling about this harvest. Here we shall harvest, declared Emaurri,

Let us pray it is swiftly done.

The six Fighters and Watchers’ friends gathered to form a wide triangle and began watching the distance while the three harvesters climbed aboard their hovercrafts. After a quick study of the controls, they rocketed skyward in search of the albritea. They sprung from their carts and pounced from tree to tree like native tree-borne creatures, swiftly cutting down the albritea with their claws and depositing the fruit onto the carts.

While the harvesters continued gathering the fruit, a thunderous crash rocked the ground.

Lil, Sumera, did you feel that? Morgaine asked, as she struggled to regain her balance.

Lil here. Yes, I felt it two times. The second was a branch hitting me, but I’m fine.

We’re fine on this end, added Sumera.

Morgaine looked toward the collection team, as she maintained watch over the ground.

Let’s get to the collection team, she said, It looks like they are done and the carts are coming down now.

Running to meet the others, Morgaine noticed a large albritea branch falling near Vaneel.

    Vaneel, watch out!

Vaneel looked up and her muscles rippled, as she narrowly dodged the branch. The branch smashed into her cart and scattered her harvest across the forest floor. She landed safely several yards from the wreck.

Wow! That nearly ended me! Vaneel was startled.

Morgaine, Lil, and Sumera paused with their hands on their visors. They turned their heads steadily and slowly scanning the trees for signs of movement.

    Shh! Lil commanded.

She pointed to a shadowy figure to the north of their group. Morgaine and Sumera turned to look.

    I see it, said Sumera.

She slowly crouched in a defensive manner. Emaurri, Grell, and Bellonar stood with their feet firmly planted in the ground and began to shake violently, as their hands transformed into vicious claws, and their skin toughened and scaled over. Their pupils focused, which greatly sharpened their vision, while their muscles rippled and swelled.

Another branch fell to the ground with a thunderous crash, scattering the group.

Look! They’re running across the branches! Sumera pointed into the trees.

I can see it! But, what is it? Lil’s voice lilted with confusion.

From the shadows a creature appeared. It crept in like the night with its eyes shining like miniature suns. Covered in dirt, the creature stepped onto an old, brittle branch and attempted to bite the luscious fruit. The sound of the branch cracking, rippled through the air, startling the creature. In one swift motion, it leaped into the shadows of the trees. The branch crashed to the ground.

It’s only an Aldrich. Morgaine shrugged off, while wiping the sweat from her brow.

Yeah! What a relief. It’s not every day we’re out fighting, replied Alexandrine.

Well we have what we came for. Let’s get back to an area that’s not so dark and damp. Alkiyana added.

Agreed, said Vaneel. She began retrieving what she could from her scattered harvest. Just as soon as I finish getting these albritea from the ground, I’ll be ready.

We shall help you sister. The faster we finish, the faster we can leave this place, said Alexandrine.

The three of them gathered the dirty fruit from the ground, as the others stood watch. Alexandrine giggled and looked towards Alkiyana.

Even though the public affections of our species have turned into lewdness, you could at least wait until you’re home before attempting to arouse Grell. Such things should be kept private regardless of the new sex laws in place, Alexandrine commented slyly.

Alkiyana looked at Alexandrine with a puzzled look. What do you mean exactly?

Morgaine looked over and pointed toward Alkiyana’s bosom and said, Why, you’re peeking out all over the place.

Alkiyana stood up from her stooped position and cupped her breasts with both hands, putting them back into her harness.

Hmm, have I been exposing myself all this time? I didn’t even notice. Alkiyana was slightly embarrassed. She turned slightly to shield herself. My harness strap must have come loose when I nearly fell. These flimsy garments reveal our most cherished parts. It’s embarrassing!

    She adjusted the harness straps.

Yes, the Fighters and the Watchers. Even though their wears are different from one another they don’t expose as much skin as the Collectors. But this is not too much different from our everyday wear in the city. Our cleavage is exposed and no undergarments whatsoever! Morgaine replied.

Yes I suppose you are correct, conceded Alkiyana, But I can’t wait to get back and don my elegant robes. I love how they fit me.

Even though this has been an abrupt change, as of late, it is still law. We cannot disobey the rules of the Elders, regardless of how odd they seem. I’m sure they have good reason for it. Morgaine commented.

What do you mean abrupt change? Alkiyana asked. She glanced down at herself, satisfied with her clothing adjustments.

We have not always dressed and behaved this way, Morgaine noted.

Alkiyana furrowed her brow and shared a glance with Alexandrine.

"What was that look for?" Morgaine asked noticing the shared glance.

Not all is that it seems, Morgaine, answered Alexandrine.

Yes, treachery is upon us and we have been preparing our kids to resolve this issue, as the book says it would, added Alkiyana.

Book, what book? We don’t have any books. They are of an ancient time many years before us.

"Yes, and we know why they no longer live upon us, as they once did. The sex, lust and provocative wear are all
