About this ebook
Two men, each serving time for the same crime, are forced to question the nature of their desires when their pasts become their present.
Venturing into dark and explosive territory, My Fellow Creatures is a raw, honest, and thoughtful portrayal of these men and their virtues, confronting the reader with difficult questions about love, consent, vengeance, and acceptance.

My Fellow Creatures - Michael Rubenfeld
SCENE ONE
Lights on a box. A small box. In the box is a toilet, a bed, a table. It’s terrible. It’s the worst box ever. No air. It’s neat. Tidy. A radio sits on the table.
ARTHUR sits at his desk. There is food on the table. He writes in a journal. Music from the radio. Violins.
KELLY enters. He stands at the door. He stands there. Just stands. Watching. ARTHUR, sensing his presence, turns.
ARTHUR: Excuse me?
KELLY exits.
Excuse me!
No response. ARTHUR contemplates going after him. He doesn’t. He goes to his desk and to his writing. After a few moments KELLY reappears in the doorway. He stands there. Watching. ARTHUR turns off the radio.
KELLY doesn’t move. They stare in silence. Something
