Reviews for Deep Blue Trouble
1 rating1 review
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Deep Blue Trouble – A Kick Ass ThrillerSteph Broadribb follows up her kick as debut, Deep Down Dead, with an even better kick ass follow-up, Deep Blue Trouble. This thriller picks up a few days after the ending of her previous book, and once again Floridan Lori Anderson is taking names and trying to protect those whom she loves. Her bounty hunting skills are required by Special Agent Alex Monroe for an off the books hunt for an escaped convict, Gibson ‘The Fish’ Fletcher. While at the same time she wants to keep her daughter, Dakota, safe, especially after recent events, and she really is a special kid, having survived cancer once. At the same time, she wants to get her friend, mentor, lover and Dakota’s father, JT, not only out of jail but off death row.It does not help that the person she is hunting is alleged of killing a mafia connected man, while at the same time she is being followed by members of the Miami mafia. When she has to head over to California to follow-up a lead, does she start to break a few of her own rules. She ends up with a team of bounty hunters who do not trust her, and she does not trust them. Little does she realise that sometimes it is best to work as a team. There are more twists in this thriller than your average game of adult twister, and she likes to keep the reader guessing, like a champion poker player. The pace throughout this book is fast and breathless that is brilliant entertainment, and a great way to spend your night when there is nothing on television. This really is a must for thriller lovers, with suspense and a flash of romance, this really is a fresh and fun character well worth engaging with.
