Dedication
The Art of Safkhet wants to thank you, our readers, for your devotion to Ashley Nemer and her Blood Series.
This book is dedicated to all of you.
A Note From The Author
Ican’t begin to explain how much this book series means to me and how much all of you affect my craft and my world.
I could never have imagined it would grow into the beast that it is today, and it’s because you all have encouraged and supported me the whole way through.
Inside this book you will find a short story, Blood Gold. It contains the secrets on how this world was created. You will also find deleted scenes that I never found a place for throughout the series and random extra tidbits I wanted to toss in just for you.
My goal is to leave the world open so in the event a story pops into my head, I can write it.
Thank you for your support, and I hope you enjoy the fourth book, Blood White.

Introduction
Creating a whole new world from nothing is challenging, but I had a dream, and knew I could make it work. It all started out one afternoon when my Great-Aunt Pam and I were researching and talking about our family heritage. We had discovered, that our tribe, the Gholmia Tribe, was one of the original thirteen tribes in Lebanon that dated back to before 100 A.D. The thirteen Christian tribes lived in relative peace until around 646 when the Muslim invasion occurred and they lost their homeland. Just like today, Muslims and Christians fought over the land.
My ancestors were pushed up into the mountains, and thus the Algula were born.
I thought about how neat it would be to find a way to combine my family history with a literary topic I was very into, vampires.
So I spent a week in 2011 researching the Middle East and their folklore regarding vampires, only to discover they didn’t really have any. This actually made everything better for me, because it allowed me to make it all up as I went along.
I loved studying about the Arabic world. I loved learning about the different religions and how they all tie in together. What I have learned is, while we all each have different religious beliefs, so many are alike, and as you will see when you read "Blood Gold," I have accounted for those similarities.
I hope you enjoy Blood White. This was actually my favorite of the Blood Series to write and compile, because it was a little bit of everything.
If you are like me, the family tree can get confusing, and you might need some help remembering who is tied to which person once you dig into Blood Gold,
so I have created a diagram. You should note, the Gods I use in this novel, the Arabic Gods, were actually the Gods used in Lebanon before the influence of the Greek Gods invaded.
I do try and bring as much authenticity as I can, as best as I can, which can be challenging because I don’t live in Lebanon, although one day I do hope to visit the land that helped create me and the amazing world of my Blood Series.

A few notes are necessary to fully explain this family tree. The colors listed represent the powers that can be traced back to that god. This was initially done so I could make sure no Algula had powers that were not genetically possible.
Also, you may start to wonder about the brother and sister relationships that appear to exist when looking at the tree. Take for instance Mehmet and Nasir. If you look closely, you may think they are brothers, but in reality, they are not. The Gods created these beings; they did not birth them, so the ‘genetics’ they share don’t really exist, because they are not true ‘children’ of the gods.
I know that sounds confusing, but that is how I see my world and everyone inside of it. The brother/sister/aunt/uncle relationships only happen when the Algula have conceived children, like Zayn and Nikole.

PROLOGUE
There were few things in the universe which were stronger than Hubal and his friends. They had been ruling all of creation since the beginning of time, and the Olympians had been eyeing their weapons for millennia.
They had protected the lightning rod and trident, and made sure to never keep them in the same room to limit their exposure to other Gods. The lightning rod was quite appealing to all Gods. It had the ability to destroy existence. As easily as it gave life, it could take it away. Any god that possessed it shared in its powers. The longer they held onto it, the more residual energy and power that god would maintain. Then there was the trident. This one item controlled the pulls of different worlds. It what made each planet spin on their axes and kept their worlds in balance.
The alert came early in the morning as the sun was rising in the sky. The sirens and alarms blared through Olympus, awaking Hubal and Manad. Those two were the first to make it down to the main valley with Na’ila and Isaf quick on their tails. They saw Zeus and Poseidon standing at the top of the main temple. They were holding the lightning rod and the trident.
Those are not yours. Give them back, Zeus!
Isaf bellowed.
My friends, you have lost them. I told you long ago, Hubal, I would wait until your guard was down and strike. Your celebration last night left me with just that option.
Zeus’s voice was full of joy, his laughter echoing off the surrounding buildings.
Manad leaned into Hubal’s ear and whispered, I don’t remember falling to sleep last night, or ending up back in my bed. Do you?
Hubal looked at his friend with wondering eyes and then over at Isaf and Na’ila. Do any of you?
Poseidon began to clap, the trident nestled between his arm and body. Are you beginning to wonder what happened last night?
The silence in the valley felt heavy to them all. Let me clear it up for all of you. The water you all drank last night came from me. None of you stood a chance.
You drugged us!
Hubal’s anger started to flare, and he began to shake the temples.
There is no use fighting, Hubal. You and your friends are dismissed. You can move out of your temples today, as we will be taking them over.
Zeus held the lightning rod up into the air and let it
