Prologue
The dream of writing a book for prosperity is one of the so-called purposes in life. They all write it down together with plant a tree
and have a child
and most will marry, breed offspring and participate in a reforestation campaign but... what about the book? We walk through a bookstore or visit an exhibition of books from around the world and we are surprised that someone can write stories, collect biographies of illustrious men... And even in movies, diaries
seem to be the ideal of any young person captured on screen.
Could it be that it is impossible to write this book to leave a mark of our passage in this world?
Let me tell you yes. Yes, it is possible.
You can do it dear student.
Your previous preparation does not matter, neither your beliefs, neither your skin color. Everyone, without exception, can do it.
Do you want to dive in the art of writing?
I will accompany you in every step.
In my more than 30 years as a professional writer, I can tell you that the world of literature is a paradise to enjoy.
Let’s start.
Let’s rise to the world of art.
Starting to write
It is curious how we have classified writers as strange beings with certain kinds of attire, half rare, as if they came from another world.
We imagine Ernest Hemingway with a fishing rod for his Old Man and the Sea
, and we put very different stereotypes to these eccentric human beings, as we believe.
Anton Chekhov like another young American of letters, died in the same place, both very young, but they collected an entire lifetime in their books.
To write is to transmit to posterity an essential part of ourselves.
When writing, a part of our soul is printed on each page. That is why it is an art, because as the great D.H. Lawrence, the author of Lady Chatterley’s lover
, said when talking about the novel, the novel is life
, and that a good part of us is reflected in every writing we do.
Our subconscious is the one that embodies in every page and every letter yielded, as if we were fighting spear in hand against imaginary windmills. Dare yourself to write and you will see that it opens a range of possibilities where nothing is impossible.
While writing you will find new worlds, and it is at the same time your private universe, that world that Antoine de Saint-Exupéry found when he portrayed in The Little Prince
, the epic of childhood.
It is time to take the flight.
Put on your glasses, turn on the engine of your imagination and fly away!
As well as to make a dress you will need thread, needle and cloth, to start writing, you also need tools.
Please let me show you.
First is your imagination.
But if I’m not imaginative, or creative?
, you will say.
Imagination is your powerful weapon, the best one, with which you were equipped.
Do you plan your day? You are creating...!
Literary creation starts
