Evian Rising: Chapter 1 - The Traveling Chaos
()
About this ebook
Set in a time when humans and extraterrestrials first made contact, making the universe truly connected. In a bid to retain the devotion of their subjects, the Gods unveiled the interworking of Qi, a divine source of energy. Numerous creatures gained the ability to harness godlike power, thus ushering the entire cosmos into a period of extreme violence and chaos. One God, Mudarar, sought to conquer the universe and bend all creatures to his will. He gave thirteen of his chosen subjects almost unparalleled access to Qi and free rein to spread havoc against anyone who opposed his will. Those thirteen Disciples waged war against various planets in the name of Mudarar and ruled the defeated lands.
Evian, an almighty combat genius, is the only real threat to Mudarar’s dark plot of universal domination. Her goal is to defeat Mudarar and bring an end to his reign, and her method is simple: destroy every one of his Disciples until she gets to the God himself.

Chapter One
Evian narrowed her eyes against the fierce sting of the desert wind, partially shifting the cowl that served to protect her face. She lowered her head as she pushed the ancient, anti-friction motorbike she had been forced to use due to lack of seeing something better at the last outpost she had visited. From what she knew about her destination, though, she should be arriving any moment now. The hopes of finally doling out a bit of karma and, if she was fortunate, receiving a bit of a thrill to test her limits brought endless excitement, but she tried to keep her composure.
The very thought of completing her objectives made her push the bike to its limit, and she ignored the sparks coming out of the energy capsule at the base of its front. The last planet she had visited had lacked this thrill. Her opponent, Cowin Disciple 12, had been a sniveling coward whose defeat had offered small pleasure as feats of his fighting prowess had been greatly exaggerated. The idiot did not even have the sense to surround himself with half-decent fighters, instead preferring the company of people he was stronger than.
The result was a very short battle in which Evian had decimated his whole force in mere moments and taken care of him in even less time. It turned out that she got out of the planet in less time overall, her hopes
