About this ebook
This book explains how the immune system can behave in a way that prevents a pregnancy from continuing. High levels of Natural Killer cells, genetic compatibility between partners and blood clotting problems are all significant causes of reproductive failure.
Autoimmunity (both inherited or environmentally triggered) are a major reason for the increase in infertility and miscarriage today. This book also explains why such disorders are not just devastating to a pregnancy and can also be markers of potentially serious health problems in the mother.
This text includes contributions from Professor David Clark, Dr Carolyn Coulam, Dr William Matzner and Dr Geoffrey Sher.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Don't be fooled by the cutesy title; this is NOT a touchy-feely self-help book.I happened across this book by chance, and I opened it expecting to hear all the traditional platitudes of "just relax" and "visualize yourself pregnant". This could not be further from the truth. Inside this cover is a hard-science crash course in reproductive biology, specifically the parts that can go wrong during implantation or sustaining a pregnancy. It's a fascinating read. I just wish the authors had chosen a better title. "Is your body baby-friendly?" might be highly marketable, but it's a title that will cause people interested in this content to pass it by.
