    Christmas is God's territory,

and that He loves to share.

    Introduction

Walk into any room and say the word, CHRISTMAS in a calm but firm manner. Note the variety of responses by the people in that room. Did anyone throw something at you?

Christmas has been skipped, left behind, overdone, over commercialized, highly processed, ignored, blown up, left for dead, defaced, mocked, deranged, trampled on and torn to shreds. Must there be a Black Friday every month of the year? And here comes December, we'll do it again.

I celebrate Christian Christmas so the nativity is central for me. Christmas is something I do but more importantly it is something God has done. I am embarrassed when Christmas rolls around again all too quickly and I am too depressed to celebrate. Too exhausted. I have been in work scenarios where people complained incessantly about celebrating Christmas. They hate the Christmas decorations! They hate the Christmas music! They hate Christmas parties! They hate Christmas presents! Even when it is secular. Sometimes I look around at society and think, Wow, Christmas is a goner! But then faith whispers, It ain't so!

    THIS IS AN ADVENT STORY

I was asked to come up with a program for the Ladies Advent Brunch at church (Christmas Tea). We'd like an Advent story. Carol chimed in. Advent. Advent. How many Advent stories do you know? Since I couldn't find even one I wrote this one.

What is Advent? I hear you say. Why it is the act of preparing for Christmas. It is preparing your heart
