About this ebook

Julian is a Rhodes Scholar, a contract professor of European literature at NYU, the proud father of a baby boy, and…a driver for the mob? Of course, it’s just a one-time thing. An easy delivery. Driving between point A and point B with something in his trunk. The less he knows about the package the better. Don’t look in the trunk.

But when a storm and bad luck flips the car, and the noises from the trunk sound too familiar, Julian just can’t help himself.

Despite the autumn coolness of the warehouse interior where the two men stood, the sweat beading on Julian’s scalp started to run. When mob guys—Julian assumed Butt-face was mob, probably Russian, from his accent—took pity on you, you were probably good and screwed.

Um...nothing. About you. About the package. About how I got it or where it was going. Nothing.

Julian chopped his hands back and forth in the air as he said it. Christy would be appalled at his lack of cool. Their little son, Joshua, would no doubt be mortified too. Once he grew old enough to walk around without diapers and actually figured out that the big dude paying for his
