International selling author, Russ Crossley writes science fiction and fantasy, and mystery/suspense under the name R.G. Crossley. His latest science fiction satire set in the far future, Revenge of the Lushites, is a sequel to Attack of the Lushites released in 2011. The latest title in the series was released in the fall of 2013. Both titles are available in e-book and trade paperback. Hank Mueller stared at Mrs. Jones toaster through his dirt specked, wire-rimmed reading glasses perched at the tip of his hawk-like nose. His white bushy eyebrows were arched on his forehead above pale gray eyes. The toaster rested on the counter of his fix-it workshop bench in the reception area at the front of the shop facing the window overlooking the quite street. A gray haired matronly woman stood on the other side of the counter watching him study her toaster in rapt attention, her watery eyes wide with expectation .
He eyed the switching mechanism closely as if he were a scientist gazing at a cold germ under a microscope. Yes, he muttered to himself,

His heavily lined face cracked like a desert in the middle of summer when he broke into a wide grin. Mrs. Jones, the retired schoolteacher, one of his longest customers, smiled at him. Her eyes glowed with pleasure about his assessment. Her ruddy moon-shaped face beamed with joy. Her grass green eyes focused on his looking back
