The Masonic Influence On World History

About this ebook
Freemasonry has been an influence on mankind since humans walked on earth. Although many attribute the beginnings of masonry to the establishment of the first Grand Lodge of England, or the building of King Solomon’s Temple, its roots go back to Mesopotamia and the Sumerians, as far back as history can be traced.
The “Keepers of Light”, “Watcher’s” or “Star People” preserved the universal truths through hard times and persecution throughout history, enabling truth to flourish even under the most adverse conditions.
Masonry or something like it has been in existence since the dawn of time.
Long before recorded history, even before the times of Sumeria and before men and women roamed the earth and beyond searching for truth, a form of masonry lead many to lead a more productive, happy, and honorable life.
Masonry today makes good men better by teaching morality, brotherly love, and truth, giving examples of leading a more righteous life by following God’s laws or the laws of Nature and Nature’s God, or as some would say seeking truth in the divine.
This truth can take many forms and many times it takes humans a lifetime of searching to conclude that all things evolve back to God, their Creator.

Growing up on a dairy farm in rural southeastern Indiana ,Gary was raised in a conservative Christian environment and looked forward to a life much like his ancestors had lived. The two car garage, white picket fence and 2.5 kids was his life’s dream. Due to some twists of fate his life changed suddenly and a different path was taken. At this time,he began to question everything he was brought up to believe, his political views, his religious and spiritual beliefs and every value society places on us as members of the human race. During his Vision Quest, which lead him to Egypt, Australia, the Canary Islands, Belize and most of the United States, he reevaluated and examined everything he believed in. Having always had an interest in things of a spiritual and esoteric nature this was without question a predetermined path. Through and because of his interest in photography he was able to study and document many ancient cultures throughout the world, in particular the Australian Aborigine, the Maya, and the Ancient Egyptians. Although his travels have changed his perception of life and many of the spiritual values he once held, one belief remains unchanged. His belief in the basic conservative core values of life that have been carried down through the ages from time immemorial. Those same core values that led to the founding of our great country and are instilled in our sacred documents, The Bill of Rights, The Declaration of Independence, and the United States Constitution. His belief in a Supreme Being or God have not faltered. In spite of this, he has found there is much more to life than conventional wisdom leads us to believe. Time and time again history has shown that when a people or civilization fall from a belief in their God and basic common sense values, their way of life ceases to be. Let’s not let that happen to us. To contact Gary: www.journeysthrulife.com. Email: journeysthrulife@gmail.com.

Introduction
Until just recently, many members of government from the national level down to the local and state levels belonged to the masonic order; it was almost an unspoken requirement.
Many in law enforcement also belonged, as well as members of the military. That is no longer the case. Look how we have declined since society no longer holds moral values in high esteem.
The Boston Tea Party was reportedly performed during a Masonic Lodge meeting in Boston while the lodge was called from labor to refreshment. It is noted in the lodge minutes that the lodge was called from labor to refreshment and back again to labor, but no mention was made of any extracurricular activities.
Many times in our history, during our most trying times and conflicts, the cement of brotherly love and affection has surpassed the terrors of war and united men on the battlefield, many times saving lives and preventing injuries.
Through the changing times, masonry has stood fast, even though the name may have changed through time, the principles are the same, carried on through time immemorial.
Those steadfast principles have carried mankind through thick and thin, survived dictators, despots and tyrants. Today more than ever we need those values to carry us through the hard times.
As the world changes and old ways are tossed out the window, we need to remember to hang on to what is near and dear to us, to cling to the universal truths that never change, even though society and customs do.
Times and customs regularly change, as they should. However, many ideals have stood the test of time and should never be discarded.
The Keepers of Light
, Watcher’s
or Star People
preserved the universal truths through hard times and persecution throughout history, enabling truth to flourish even under the most adverse conditions.
Thanks to people like Christopher Knight, Robert Lomos, and many others, the history of masonry is beginning to come to light.

Chapter 1 The Beginning of Masonry
Sumer is the accepted birthplace of civilization, and much of the writing, theology and building techniques in use today had their humble beginnings in that ancient land. Even the farming techniques of today seem to have sprung from that long forgotten time.
They were highly efficient in not only farming and the making of ceramics and textiles, they were also artificers of fine metals and were excellent stone carvers and invented the wheel.
Because of their industrious nature, their booming economy attracted travelers from many distant lands and because of this trade became prosperous for the then known world.
From all of the evidence that has been presented, it is highly likely there was an ancient craft similar to the masonic order of today. To say the masonic order actually existed would be a stretch; however, some form of an ancient people bent on preserving the ancient knowledge of the day had to exist. If it never existed, there would be no record of them ever having existed.
Even the flood of Noah is believed by some to have taken place in this ancient land.
According to ancient legend, everything and everyone were destroyed except Noah and those on his cruise ship. There had to be someone on board to preserve the knowledge of the ages.
By this token, there had be some Keepers of the Light
, to bring forth the ancient knowledge and
