Reviews for Jethro Tull
1 rating1 review
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5It is very hard to believe that Raymond Benson has actually published novels. This book about Tull is filled with pedestrian writing of the worst sort. I can think of multiple longstanding Tull fans that would provide more creative and thought provoking reflections on Tull's albums, songs and tours. The lowest point of multiple low points? "Steel Monkey is a driving, hard rock song that is sure to cause your upper body to bop in time." Yes, my upper body bops and bops. This had to be some sort of vanity publishing house product, otherwise it is difficult for me to see how this was ever accepted to see the light of day. Avoid this Tull fact book at all costs. Instead, read David Rees' Tull book, which is well done - or pick up Greg Russo's or Scott Allen Nollen's. Anything but this.
