Precious Songs of Awakening: Chants For Daily Practice, Feast, and Drubchen

PRECIOUS SONGS OF AWAKENING, CHANTS FOR DAILY PRACTICE, FEAST AND DRUBCHEN is a delightful collection of poetry for practitioner to recite or sing in any situation of ritual on the Tibetan Buddhist path.
Liturgies included span the course of a day, a retreat or a great accomplishment ceremony as well as auspicious songs for feast offerings. Many of these chants are hidden treasure teachings but also songs of realization and devotion.
These heartfelt pieces inspired by faith and renunciation are a conduit for settling the mind and creating the conditions to receive the blessings of the lineage masters. They are also works that can benefit deceased people and guide their consciousness onto a higher rebirth.
This analogy is meant for the dedicated student who wishes to progress on the spiritual path and benefit others. They can be sung in one’s shrine room, in a group assembly or when meditating outside in the open air. There is never a situation where any one of these verses will not be favorable.
Guru Rinpoche, Yeshe Tsogyal, Longchenpa, Chokgyur Lingpa, and Mipham Rinpoche have composed the songs as well as other masters and selections from the tantras are included.

I think of your kindness, Precious Guru,

This blessed Testament Supplication, which appears in the life-story of Orgyen Rinpoche, was revealed by the great incarnated tertön, Orgyen Chokgyur Dechen Lingpa, at Karma Damchen Drak.

Künzang dorsem garab shiri seng

Pemakara jebang nyishu nga

Sozur nub nyag tertön gyatsa sog

Kater lama namla solwa deb

Samantabhadra, Vajrasattva, Garab Dorje, and Shri Singha,

Padmakara, King, and twenty-five disciples,

So, Zur, Nub, Nyang, the hundred tertons, and others,

All gurus of Kama and Terma, I supplicate you.

Your excellent life example upholds an unprecedented treasury of secrets.

At the Terrestrial Chakra of Speech, and in other places,

You reached the final state of the practices of development, completion, and great perfection.

I supplicate you who caused confusion to collapse,

Gained mastery over the four activities, and became the crown ornament of siddhas.

Again and again, in pure visions you went

To the realm of Lotus Light and performed the four aspects of approach and accomplishment.

Together with the trikaya gurus and the gathering of disciples,

Gyalwa sé ché yidam pakmé zik

Perceiving countless jinas with their sons and yidams,

You partook in feast gatherings with all the dakinis.

I supplicate you, for whatever you command is carried out

By pledge-holders, treasure guardians, and protectors of the victorious.

You revealed the three guru cycles, peaceful and wrathful sadhanas,

The Union, Sutra, Maya, Three Sections of Dzogchen, and others.

I supplicate you who opened for the great treasury of jewels,

The Dharma representations that had never before appeared on this earth.

Dokham né chen nyernga tsor gyurpé

In person, you visited one-hundred sacred places

Headed by the twenty-five major places of Dokham.
