Southern Girl, Yankee Roots - Danielle Thorne
Dedication
––––––––
This collection of poetry is dedicated to my parents, Dan and Roxie Leatherwood, who never once laughed when I said I wanted to be a writer. To all of my family and friends who have given me support and plenty to write about, and to my wonderful sixth grade teacher, Mrs. Ghirardi—wherever you are—look what you inspired in me. Last but not least and always in my heart, to Rob and my boys.

Instead, it's the thoughts of a young adult and puzzled thirty-something-year-old trying to find her way through the mire of family roots and tradition, as well as parenthood and the society of the South.
These life songs are my perspective and opinions, and no one else's. They are frank at times,
