Apocalypses: The Crossing
()
About this ebook
100 years in the future, life on Earth feels dead. Even though there are no more wars, and the Solar System has been colonized, progress has been halted on all levels. Psychologist James Redman is slowly coming to the realization that evolution doesn't like stagnation. A species that ceases to evolve is in danger of being replaced by a stronger and more deadly species. If his dreams are any indication, it may already be too late. Mankind may already be on the road to extinction.
In "The Crossing," humanity faces its greatest threat yet when a mystical race emerges, intent on annihilating Earth. As the mysterious beings known as "Yidam" unleash their power, chaos ensues across the solar system. Amidst the turmoil, psychologist James Redman is determined to uncover the truth behind the invaders and find a way to stop them. An old flame, Christy Butler, re-enters his life along with her precocious child, Davis, whose dreams may hold the key to stopping the violence. But as they delve deeper into the mystery, they uncover dark truths about themselves and the universe, forcing them to confront their own fears and weaknesses. With time running out and the fate of the world hanging in the balance, James and Christy must face the ultimate challenge: survival against insurmountable odds against an enemy unlike anything they've ever encountered.
The Crossing is part of the Apocalypses series, a group of stand-alone novels exploring the end of the world.

SAMUEL MORNINGSTAR is an occasional rock singer / guitarist, has more black belt certificates than he has wall space to hang them on, and likes to scare neighborhood children by dressing in black and swinging swords in the front yard. He has a Master's Degree in Psychology, but has never worked a day in that field. He occasionally refers to himself as a mystic, as he believes that makes it more socially acceptable to wear a black cape in public. He lives in Kansas City, Kansas.
