About this ebook
For a number of years, I have thought about writing this book but for one reason or another I never seemed to do so. Now at 82 years of age, I figure that if I don’t do it now it may never be accomplished. Is it really important that this book be written? I doubt it but it will provide the reader with actual stories of UFO events that I was either involved in or a part of and, more importantly, they are events that actually happened. I think it’s important that the reader understand that I am writing this book not to build up my ego but to portray, I hope, interesting true stories involving UFOs which may have never been told before.

I was born in Sioux City, Iowa. After graduating from school, I joined the U.S. Navy. That started my career of traveling all over the world. Just before my enlistment was up, I flew around the world in seven days. On returning to Sioux City, I married, raised four children and began a career in emergency management. I started as a volunteer emergency civil defense worker, then a full-time civil defense director, and a civilian disaster preparedness officer for the U.S. Air Force. For 26 years before my retirement, I was a federal emergency coordinator for several federal agencies. Over the years, many people have asked why I chose this profession, and I always give the same answer. If I could save one life, all of it would be worth it. What I did not say was that I was out to save thousands of lives if a major disaster should occur. I have never regretted the path I chose. It was a remarkable career that led me right to the steps of the White House. My first novel, THE SHADOW GOVERNMENT, was written in 1999, two years before the 9-11 attacks and the actual activation of the shadow government program. It's a story of fiction that has in many ways become reality. Even so, it's a story that needed to be told. I now live in the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia with my wife and man's best friend...Sassy Lady. I continue to write and find myself busier now than when I had a nine-to-five job. On second thought, I never really had that type of job because I was always on stand-by for what might happen. I find deep satisfaction in writing and hope you enjoy my books.

I watched through the rearview mirror as the bright orb, the size of a basketball, streaked toward us, then passed a few feet over our vehicle and shot up into the dark sky and disappeared.

Author’s Biography
Most of my working life, some 40 years or so, was in the emergency management field providing information on chemical, biological and radiological (CBR) protection as a civil defense director, a disaster preparedness officer and a federal emergency coordinator which included CBR expertise and support to five U.S. presidents.
The reason I point this out is to let the reader know I am not the type of person to intentionally say anything that may not be true and that includes the stories in this book.
Background
The events in this book covers a timeframe from January 1966 to July 1971, a period of 4 and a half years.
On January 1, 1966, I was the Civil Defense Director for the city of Great Falls and Cascade County, Montana which was a new position for the city and county. My prime responsibility was to
