Build a Survival Safe Home - Ronald Nelson
Introduction
Having a place to live in the wilderness is about more than just pitching a tent. Some of you are already blowing off that statement and this ebook. Yes, having a tent is probably the easiest way to have immediate shelter in the wilderness, but think about this: tents don’t last forever. High winds can ruin your tent. Rain can flood your tent or collapse the top of your tent. Animals, people, branches, and other natural elements can cut holes into your tent. Have you ever been in a tent and woke up because your tent sprung a leak? It’s no fun. Also, most tents don’t block out the wind every well.
If you’re learning more and preparing to bug out or live off of the grid, then you need to know how to build a safe and warm shelter in the wilderness or where ever you eventually decide to settle. For the purpose of this ebook, we will define wilderness as simply some place that doesn’t have land improvements such as electricity and gas. It is, simply put, raw land. It could be a meadow. It could be a plain. It could be in the woods. Your wilderness may be different from what someone else experiences in their area. Either way, you need shelter that can keep you safe and warm.
That’s where this ebook comes in. You will learn about some of the best techniques that you can use to construct your wilderness shelter. When the current world comes crashing to an end from an economic crisis or other major catastrophe, you will be glad that you know how to build a shelter to take care of yourself and your family. Shelter is, after all, one of the most basic necessities of life.
Chapter 1 – Basic Thoughts
Before you get started building a shelter that’s right for you, you need to think about a few basic questions and have answers for them.
What is My Wilderness?
In other words, where do you think that you’re going to set up your new wilderness shelter? Do you know where you are going to go? You will most likely have to use items that are available for you in the woods or wilderness. So, you need to really think about where you will go. Obviously, you will need wood. So, if your closets bug out location is more of a prairie or a plain, then you still need to know where you can get wood to build the shelter. Even if you find a cave to use as a shelter you will
