Don Waters

Donald S. Waters wrote these newsletter columns for the Trinity United Methodist Church of Tulsa, Oklahoma, between the years 1977 and 1983 while serving as the senior pastor. Don received a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Oklahoma A & M in Stillwater in 1950. He and Barbara moved to Texas where he worked as an aeronautical engineer for eight years. Perceiving a call from God to pastoral ministry, Don enrolled at Perkins Theological Seminary, graduating with a Master of Divinity. He and Barbara served churches in Texas and Oklahoma during a 32-year span. These newsletter columns represent Don’s best thinking and beliefs about his Christian faith. They were written to inspire, encourage, and challenge the parishioners at Trinity UMC. Don died in 2012 at the age of 85.

Very well written, with a strong voice in settings that aren't explored as often--Nevada's isolated streets, canyons and desert.
