- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5pretty good. wish i knew the bronx better. went to the zoo once.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Sigh... this was part of a cultural exchange with my friend Charlie, who's since died. He read and then sent me Boston Noir, I read and then sent him this one, and we were going to do a joint blog post about how the "Noir" series did at representing our respective cities. Life got in the way, and we never did it—I still haven't read the copy of Boston Noir—which goes to prove yet again that life is short and you should do all the things you intend to. As if we need another reminder of that.I found this one a bit uneven and wondered if noir was even my thing... guess I'd best read the Boston book.
