In “Pot Roast, a Blunt, and Some Homemade Gravy”, TRU takes the reader inside of her true feelings for the girlfriend she was losing. Her feelings for her love are conveyed as being strong and unyielding.
“The Message” is the key moment where the reader finds out the relationship is in trouble past repair. TRU describes a moment of clarity she has when she realizes the love of her life is slipping through her fingers. “The Message is the point in the book where the reader gets in tune with TRU’s emotions.
In “Long Days” the final story in the book TRU reveals that relationship is over. The reader gets to experience her process of adapting without her love. The story allows the reader to see into her difficult and lonely road ahead.

TRU

TRU is a screenwriter and author whose most experienced in writing prose and short stories. Her publications include a poetry book, Diary of a Teenage Mind, a collection of prose I Can Say Whatever I Want Volume 1 and 2, and TRUSHIT. Her upcoming project is her first documentary film, Moral Fabric, the Drug Epidemic. TRU is one of those people who always seems to be caught in the rain without an umbrella. She gets the most joy out of writing stories that reflect real life.
