    Forward

This is a real honest to God plan for ending war, poverty and government. Not only does Peopleism end war, poverty, and government but it is a plan for what would run society better, and more fairly, than government. Peopleism should provide peace and prosperity for everyone on Earth.

The body of this book is divided into three major sections; past, present, and future. The first section titled, Past, shows the reader how and why we got into the situation we are in today. The second section titled, Present, describes the situation we find ourselves in today. The third section titled, Future, explains the Peopleism plan that is ready to start happening. Soon we all could be living in a prosperous war-free world where almost everyone enjoys at least three times what they have now.

Some of you may have noticed the first subtitle paraphrases the subtitle from E F Schumacher’s book Small is Beautiful. Peopleism utilizes the economic ideas of E F Schumacher and carries them into socio-politics as well.

This is the first edition that explains the basic situation and plan for peaceful prosperity for all. I do anticipate following editions that will expand even more on the ideas, and include more issues, and provide more details.

At the end of the book I have included links to internet sites and links to internet articles that were helpful in supplying information that has been compiled into this book. There are also links to sites and links to articles that could be of interest to the reader. There are also sites with information for helping to attain the prosperous war-free Peopleism society we all can enjoy.

Please help make world peace and prosperity a reality. Help make the Peopleism plan known. Help spread the word. Help make world peace and prosperity happen in a free world.

    Thank you

    PAST

    The birth of money

In the beginning things had value. Different things had different values. Different things had different values in different places. In a place where the things were produced things tended to have less value. When things were transported a significant distance to other marketplaces, that additional cost, usually increased their value accordingly. And the value of many things also varied depending on what season it was. At harvest time the grain was not as valuable as it would be right before spring. Abundant things tended to have less value. Scares things tended to have more value. Another consideration was the time and effort it took to make the trade to obtain what it was you wanted.

The people that produced one thing traded with others who produced other things. The barter commerce was simple, but not very effective. You had to trade what you had to someone who wanted it and also had something you wanted. Or they at least had to have something you could trade again that you were willing to accept.

Not everything had values that were simple to convert from one value or price, to the other value, or price. The task of trading was a job in itself. Somethings made that job easier. They helped everyone accomplish what they hoped to accomplish. Pieces of refined metal, and special stone pieces, were jewelry pieces. They had value. They did not go bad after so much time. They were small and easily transported. The refined metal and special stone pieces made trading easier. They were the intermediary item in trading. You did not have to trade your corn for bread. And then trade half the bread for fish. That is, if the fishmonger didn’t already get his bread from trading directly with the baker. With jewelry trading pieces you could trade all your corn that the baker wanted for only the bread you wanted. To get the extra value of corn from you the baker could give to you jewelry pieces. You could then trade those jewelry pieces for other things. You could also wear the jewelry pieces to transport, and flaunt, your wealth.

Everything could easily have their value converted to the value of the refined metal, or stone, jewelry pieces. That way the value of everything could be converted and compared to the value of everything else. Sometimes a more valuable thing was traded for a less valuable thing. To make the trade worth doing the trader with the item of less value would have to include refined metal, or stone, jewelry pieces to cover the difference of value between the items. Then the trade could happen. Both parties were offering equivalent values.

So the refined metal, or stone, jewelry pieces became useful items to facilitate the commerce. But not all jewelry pieces are of equal value. The jewelry pieces could be made even better at that function of facilitating trades. The refined metal and stone pieces needed to be standardized. All the pieces had to be virtually identical to be of identical value. The metal was better for producing those jewelry-like standardized trading pieces of value. So stones stayed
