David Foenkinos is a French author and director who was born in 1974 and studied literature at the Sorbonne (Paris). With his works published by Gallimard since 2002 (and then by other publishers, including Bloomsbury for translations of his works into English), the novelist has explored different modes of expression, such as theatre, comics and cinema. He has won many literary awards and has tackled the film adaptations of his own works (Delicacy, 2011), which have also been translated into over 15 languages.
Among his main works are Inversion de l’idiotie (2002), Les Cœurs automnes (2006), Qui se souvient de David Foenkinos? [Who Remembers David Foenkinos?] (2007), Delicacy (2009) and Lennon (2010).
