About this ebook
For over 15 years the 1 World Sarongs family has been designing and manufacturing sarongs and beach wear. Our extensive experience, combined skills, dedication and commitment to customer satisfaction enables us to fulfill our purpose from start to finish. We work with an amazing team of artisans on the exotic island of Bali to create beautiful hand made beach fashion items. That being said, we hope to provide value and share our vision to the world by celebrating the versatility of sarongs. More than just a family run business, we began our journey fueled by our love for sarongs. We learned all about the origins of sarongs by living on the island of Gods, Bali, Indonesia and we were amazed by the way the Balinese people used it in their everyday lives. Sarongs are also culturally embedded across the globe - from Thailand, Cambodia, Malaysia, to India, Bangladesh to Tahiti, Hawaii, Fiji to Brazil, Middle East, Africa and beyond! With globalization, the western world began to accept and understand the beauty, convenience and comfort of sarong wear during their destination holidays or vacations. People started to travel more with sarongs as a packing essential and today it has become a staple fashion item for both men and women.
Dedicated to our purpose of bringing joy and happiness to our customers, we decided to create an illustrated guide for all sarong lovers to demonstrate the many different ways you can tie your sarongs. By the end of this book, you will discover that the possibilities are truly endless and remember, the purpose of this guide is to inspire you to create styles that works for you. The whole idea is to have fun, play and experiment with your sarongs.
Special thanks to artist Kyra Kendall (kyrakendall.org) who helped us to created this book.
