While all clubs and bars in Singapore are happy to see any customer walk in through their door, it might be less uncomfortable of a setting if you'd like to hold your man as you move on the dance floor and that's where these places come in.
The Clarke Quay of LGBT Singapore is in the Tanjong Pagar area. Karaoke bars, pubs and clubs have taken root there and provide gays and lesbians an environment that allows them to let their hair loose and either belt their hearts out or dance their feet away... Or both!
Lockerroom Sports Cafe and Bar is a popular, fun bar that, as the name suggests, has interior decor similar to that of a locker section. The good drinks and friendly waiters are also the reason why it's crowded on most nights. Queens will be happy in DYMK Cafe and Bar with its chic and relaxed setting. If you would like to make friends with Caucasian men then Tantric is your place.
Young party-goers should be sure to include Play on the list. This club is the headquarters for LGBT clubbers, it has separate nights for lesbian and gays but everyone's always welcome! Luckily for gay travellers, there's no work on Monday so make sure you're at Zirca on Sundays for their Superstar Sundays. Gay-owned The Butter Factory sees a mostly straight but gay-heavy crowd on the weekends and they do play some smashing music.
Karaoke bars like Lluvia and HQ Karaoke & Bar provide a sanctuary for you to put that diaphragm to good use as you lubricate your vocal cords with their potions from the bar.

Actor's Bar isn't an ordinary bar with a resident or guest band. Entertainment of the night, good or bad, is provided by the patrons themselves who either have guts of steel or guts of alcohol.
Instruments like the guitar, drums and bass are up on the stage available for you to bring out your inner rockstar. You can perform up to three songs before you're hauled off the stage. We found that, regardless of the quality of the music, a night at Actor's can get pretty hilarious so go there with an open mind. Don't go if you're suffering from a migraine.
The crowd at Actor's is a mix since the prices are reasonable, so don't be surprised to see a typical Singaporean 'Uncle' or 'Auntie' (local middle-aged folk) show up.

Located on the corner of Temple and Terengganu Street, Backstage Bar is owned by the same people as Tantric.
A chillout place on the second storey of a shophouse that lets you enjoy the bustle of Chinatown's streets at night without breaking a sweat. The interior decor comprises framed pictures of past and present musicals.
A variety of beer and cocktails are available. If you're not one for alcohol, there are fruit juices and soft drink available as well at the standard superinflated prices.
Do note that the entrance to the place is on Temple Street itself despite the address.
Lockerroom Sports Cafe And Bar

Lockerroom is referred to as a bar but really it's somewhere between a bar and a club. Music is thumping all night so making friends and having conversations is a little hard; definitely not for those looking for a meditative night. The crowd is a mix of everyone, locals, expats and visitors alike.
As with the name, the interior decor consists of lockers, hangers and even a washing machine. We don't recommend you try to wash any clothes while you're there. Going all out, even the waiters are dressed in sports attire.
The bar organises themed nights once in a while. Previous ones include Superhero Party and BlackOut Party. The latter's quite exciting; basically all the lights in the bar are shut off and you grope your way around. As the poster said, What nobody sees, nobody knows!
Sunday nights are Bears, Beaus and Beer
nights.
The variety of drinks in this place is quite wide and if you're a fan of German wine then Lockerroom can also provide you with a glass or two... Or three.

The eclectic graffiti that decorate the walls of the entrance of Night & Day is a good prelude to the artsy spaces above in this gallery cum bar.
This space is four-storeys of coolness. The bar is on the second level, an architecture company (run by one of the co-owners of Night & Day) on the third and the gallery sits on the fourth floor.
The owners of Night & Day are established figures in the design industry of Singapore. Kelly Cheng and Randy Chan
