The story was perhaps too condensed. It would have been nice to see the battle of the mouse king and the nutcracker or travel to Toy Land, both of which were mentioned but not developed. The playlet was a nice idea but could have been more developed as well. Vocabulary list was useful - the words given in definition had lines drawn through them as if they were barred - strange. Perhaps in copying them, the initial underlining, which would seem more logical, was displaced... All in all, a good little book but disappointing from lack of detail. Perhaps the word list for level 2 doesn't allow more development.
