About this ebook

Summer' Song is the true story of a cat we adopted from the Gulf Coast Humane Society in Corpus Christi. Summer roamed the streets and lived many lives before she reached a year old.

When we saw her, she was curled up in a ball in the back of the cage, undernourished, scared and depressed. This is the story of how we socialized her and it changed her life. She wasn't the same cat. She was lovable, enjoyed music and being sung to. Her journey had been a hard one, but in the end, her life was a celebration of life she had never know before.

I have always been a writer from a very early age, but have gotten no support at home, so I mainly just wrote for myself. Later, when I was in college, I changed from writing short stories to poems. They were rhyming poems and most of them very dark, corresponding to whatever issues I was going through at that time. When I got married in 1985 to my husband, I began writing short stories again and even thinking of getting them published. I've been writing ever since and have a couple stories published in online zines and seven, going on eight books on Kindle and in print. I live in South Texas on a farm with my husband and as many animals as we can afford which is only three cats and twelve chickens. I'm an animal lover and want to save them all if I could, but we take what we can get. My hobbies include writing, reading, latch hooks, knitting, coloring, playing music in our church band and listening to Christian Music. I'm saved and that's the only type of music I like to listen to. I write in many genres and don't plan anything out. I just sit down and write. it's more fun that way. I hope to write many more stories and books.in the future. Writing isn't a choice for me, it's a necessity and it's in my blood.
