Just as Apalachicola is not a part of the Redneck Riviera exactly (that honor is reserved to the touristy area around Panama City and Panama City Beach, two distinct cities, as they will be the first to remind you), Pensacola is close enough to be a Kissin’ Cousin. Pensacola also has a sister city called Pensacola Beach.

But all these towns are beads in the necklace of towns they call in these parts the Emerald Coast, which runs roughly 100 miles along Highway 98 from Panama City to Pensacola in Florida’s Panhandle.

Pensacola Beach is reached by driving over the Bay Bridge (small toll) onto Santa Rosa Island.
