Ellie is fourteen, and has a secret crush on a sixteen-year-old boy at school. And then there's Simon, her little brother, who wants to make her life miserable by revealing her secret to everyone because she tattled on him again.

Alexa Segur

I’m a painter and photographer from Montréal, Québec who decided to try her hand at writing a story. I studied visual arts at Collège de l’Outaouais for two years. I received a college degree in photography from Collège de Photographie Marsan. I followed that up with three years of undergraduate studies in the visual arts at Université du Québec à Montréal. And I rounded up my twenties with a degree in desktop publishing from the Rosemount Technology Centre. I painted for a few years after that while trying to find a place in the art world. I went back to school for two years in the fall of 2010, enrolling in Études Anglaises at Université de Montréal.
